50th: Alan, Cheryl Haught
Alan and Cheryl Haught of Harrisville are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married July 3, 1964, at Harrisville Baptist Church by the late Rev. Glover Robinson, uncle of the bridegroom. Best man was Warren Haught, brother of the bridegroom, and Mary Haddox, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor.
She is the daughter of the late Geneva (Smith) Zinn of Pullman, W.Va. They are both 1963 graduates of Harrisville High School and members of Harrisville Baptist Church. She attended Marshall University before devoting her life to her family and volunteerism, including Anne Royall Chapter of NSDAR.
He is the son of the late Glenn L. and Bernice M. (Robison) Haught of Beatrice, W.Va. He worked in the oilfields with his dad and brothers from an early age. He attended West Virginia Tech, retired from Alfab, Inc. in Smithville in 2006, and has held elected office as Mayor of Harrisville since 1983.
They are the parents of three children: Lori Haught of Vienna, W.Va., Deron (Tracy) Haught of Orefield, Pa., and April (Scott) Skidmore of Harrisville. They are the grandparents of Jared Mossor of Parkersburg, Dylan and Summer Skidmore of Harrisville, and Jackson and Emma Haught of Orefield.
