60th: Howard, Jane Rauch
Howard and Jane Ann Rauch celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 29. They were married at St. John’s Church in Churchtown on June 29, 1954. They moved into the house at 232 Third St. in Lowell where they currently live. Rauch, a veteran of the Korean War, worked at Marietta Metals and Farr Manufacturing where he retired from in 1992. He enjoys his summers along the river and gardening. She worked as a librarian at Lowell Elementary until she retired in 1995. She enjoys gardening, being a docent at Campus Martius Museum, and spending summer along the river. They are active members of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Lowell.
They have three sons: Steve and his wife Robin, Dave and his wife Cathy, and Chris and his wife Donna.
They have 11 grandchildren: Andrew, Kyle (Nikki), Megan(Caleb), Nina Rauch of Columbus, Sarah, Katie, Laura and Marie Rauch of Lowell, Matthew Rauch of Manhattan, David and Harry Rauch of Greenville, S.C.. They also have three great-grandchildren: Finley (2.5 years), Ronan (1.5 years), and Ellie (6 months) all of Columbus.
Family and friends gathered over the Fourth of July weekend for an anniversary celebration with an outdoor barbecue and party at the River House.
