60th: Troxil and Shirley Trembly

Troxil and Shirley Trembly of Marietta will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends on June 26 at their daughter’s home in Vincent. The couple were married June 23, 1956, in Browning, Mont., in the home of the bride’s parents.

Mrs. Trembly is the daughter of the late Stanley and Dorothy Preston of Browning, Mont.

Trembly is the son of the late Cecil and Gertrude Trembly of Walker, W.Va.

They met in Browning, Mont., when Troxil was working there with Gulf Oil Co. After their marriage, Troxil worked in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and North and South Dakota for Gulf Oil and Signal Drilling Co. The couple moved to Ohio in 1963 and have made their home in Marietta since. Troxil was employed by RJF, formerly B.F. Goodrich, Marietta, for 32 years. He retired in 1995. Shirley is a mother and homemaker.

The couple have three children, Melody and her husband, Terry Mercer, of Vincent, the late David Trembly and his wife, Cindy, of Marietta, and Carla Trembly Rhodes of Parkersburg. They have three grandchildren, John Trembly and his wife, Rachel, of Canal Fulton, Troxann Trembly Sanders of Marietta, and Kelly Pepper and husband, Patrick, of Parkersburg. They have four great-grandchildren, Gavin, Isaiah, Alex, and Olivia.
