60th: Bernard and Sue Klinger
Bernard and Sue Klinger of Lowell will be celebrating 60 years of marriage on March 5. They were married on March 5, 1957 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Churchtown.
The couple have lived in the Lowell area ever since they were married and they have four children, Mike (Robin) of Marietta, Shelley (Joe) Johns of Beavercreek, Ohio, Cindy (Tim) Gerity of Medina, Ohio, and Janis (Kevin) Purcell of San Diego, Calif. They also have seven grandchildren, Cory Klinger, Jeremy and Alex Johns, Ryan and Erin Gerity, Peyton Purcell and Alexa Dilley.
Klinger is a retired supervisor from Globe Metallurgical in Beverly and Mrs. Klinger is a retired teacher’s aide with the Fort Frye School District, working at Lowell Elementary School.
The couple likes to spend three or four months of the winter in Apopka, Fla., where they have a small place. They also enjoy camping in summer and fall with their camping club friends.
They will be celebrating with their family with a dinner out.
