Rod and Kay Berry Hineman

Rod and Kay Berry Hineman are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this week.

They were married in the living room of the bride’s parents home (Linnville, Ohio, Lawrence County) on Aug. 23, 1968. The Rev. Robert Craddock officiated.

Kay is the daughter of the late Lenna Lafon Berry and the late Clovis Berry. She was a career primary teacher beginning in the Trimble Local Schools (Athens County) and completing 30 years in the Warren Local Schools.

Rod is the son of the late Jewell Ellcessor Hineman and the late Orlyn Hineman. He was a career secondary social studies teacher beginning in the Trimble Local Schools and completing his tenure in the Belpre City Schools.

The couple have two children, David L. Hineman II and Kimberly A. (Thomas) Hineman Weiner, both of Belpre. They have two grandsons, Timothy A. Weiner, and his twin brother, William O. Weiner.

A reception and open house to honor the couple is planned after the morning service on Sunday, Aug. 26, from noon to 2 p.m. at Belpre Congregational Church, 228 Main St., Belpre. The couple’s friends and co-workers are invited to greet them in the church fellowship hall.

It is requested that gifts be omitted, however cards would be welcomed.
