Earl and Joan Smith of Lowell will be celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary on Aug. 29. They were married August 29, 1954 in New Matamoras by the late Rev. Brauhouse.

Earl is the son of the late Earl and Hilma Smith. Joan is the daugher of the late Charles and Kathinka Alloway. Earl is retired from Ohio Power in Beverly.

They have four daughters: Joyce (Tom) Danford of Marietta, Marilyn (Jay) Pottmeyer of Fleming, Nancy (Brian) Bauerbach of Elburn, Ill, and Earlene (Gene) Watson of Marietta.

Their grandchildren are Hillary, Kate, and Hunter Danford; Johanna (Nate) McNabb, Cole (Ali) Pottmeyer; Tanner Pottmeyer; Dan (Mil), Erica, Matthew, and Elizabeth Bauerbach; Kyle Davis and Kelsey Watson. Their step-grandchildren are Erika (Jeff) Eddy, Erin (Brian) Taylor, and Bethany Watson. Great-grandchildren are Addisyn, Willow, Evelynne, and Claire McNabb; Dayne Pottmeyer; Vukasin Bauerbach; John Davis. Step-grandchildren are Brody Grimes, Parker Eddy, Ella Taylor, Kya and Donovan Watson.

They will celebrate with a family dinner at their home.
