Parkersburg Woman’s Club presents Holly Trail

With home stops in Parkersburg and Vienna, the GFWC Parkersburg Woman’s Club will present Holly Trail 2016 from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

In a change for this year’s tour, Holly Trail visitors will be able to vote on their favorite home featured on the tour.

Tickets are $8 in advance from club members and $10 on the day of the tour at any location. Information and tickets are also available by calling 304-422-3472 or 740-423-0368.

The Holly Trail tour stops will include: Cody and Allie Alfred, 1212 Washington Ave., Parkersburg; Joey Boggess, 1315 Washington Ave., Parkersburg (Old Henry Logan Children’s Home); Randy and Kelita Deems, 2004 19th St., Parkersburg; Sarah Witte, 3400 Foley Drive, Parkersburg; Jim and Jo Sams, 210 36th St., Vienna; and Christ United Methodist Church, 16th Street and St. Marys Avenue, Parkersburg.

The GFWC Parkersburg Woman’s Club House at 323 Ninth St. in downtown Parkersburg will also be a stop on the tour. Visitors can enjoy refreshments served by club members and vote on the Peoples’ Choice award at the club house.

The tour is a major fundraiser for the club, with the proceeds used to support several community projects. In recent years, those projects have included Brown Bags at three elementary schools, scholarships, Girls State leadership training, Family Crisis Intervention Center, Wood County Society, Henderson Hall, Holiday in the Park, Hugh O’Brien Leadership Camp, Habitat for Humanity, Christmas sponsor for a local nursing home and Conservation Camp.
