Little Muskingum Watershed Association fall foliage tour

The 28th annual Fall Foliage Tour and Antique Engine/Equipment Show will celebrate the fall change of colors Saturday and Sunday at several locations along Ohio 26 north of Marietta.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday and is sponsored by the Little Muskingum Watershed Association.

In addition to the self-guided driving tour along Ohio 26, there will be stops with food, apple butter making and selling, engines and equipment on display, games, crafts, raffles and other activities, including live music and several tractor events.

As part of the event, the Washington County Chapter of Ohio Horseman’s Council will hold a horse apple bingo and flea market at 10 a.m. Saturday on the Lawrence School grounds in Dart. There will be a flea market, food, auction, horse and wagon rides, pony cart rides, a youth stick horse show and more. The event is a fundraiser for the chapter.

Several of Washington County’s historic covered bridges are also featured on the drive, including the Hills Covered Bridge, the Hune Covered Bridge and the Rinard Covered Bridge.

Other stops include Hidden Hills Orchard, Hills United Methodist Church, Sitka Church and Cemetery, Bohlen Dairy Farm, the Mail Pouch Tobacco Barn and Old Biehl Store, Lawrence School, Point Pleasant Christian Union Church, the Little Muskingum Watershed Festival and Parks General Store.

The schedule of activities includes:


≤ 10 a.m.: Tractor pull weigh-in

* 11 a.m.: Tractor pull

* Noon: Chicken dinner

* 1 p.m.: Tractor parade

* 2 p.m.: Allen Moore Lil’ Kids Tractor Pull

* 2-5 p.m.: Buckeye Traveler Square Dance

* 6 p.m.: Close


* 11 a.m.: Church service featuring Erin Curtis with Lawrence Baptist Church

* Noon: Chicken dinner

* 1-4 p.m.; Buckeye Travelers

* 2 p.m.: Allen Moore Lil’ Kids Tractor Pull

* 3 p.m.: Kids Turtle Race

* 4 p.m.: Raffle/country store drawing

* 5 p.m.: Close
