From staff reports

Belpre Cruise-In 2019 will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd.

The car show will fund a scholarship for a Belpre High School senior in 2020.

Dash plaques will be given to the first 60 entries. Belpre Cruise-In is open to antiques, classics, Corvettes, hot rods and muscle cars.

Trophies and a cash prize will be awarded for best of show, second and third place.

Proceeds will benefit the Belpre High School Alumni Scholarship Fund. A 50/50 drawing and raffles will be held. Participants must be present to win. Concessions and entertainment, raffles and a 50/50 drawing will be available.

Registration is $10. The rain date is Sunday.

The Belpre Cruise-In started in 2015 to raise money for the Belpre High School stadium project. More than $500 was raised in the first year for the high school.

The car show in 2016 raised money for the youth soccer and baseball leagues. The 2017 event was sponsored by Lambert-Tatman and the proceeds provided for a $1,000 scholarship under the auspices of the Belpre High School Alumni Association for a graduating senior seeking higher education.

The first recipient was Madison McCue.
