West Virginia Interstate Fair runs through Sat.

MINERAL WELLS, W.Va.– The 2017 West Virginia Interstate Fair and Exposition will feature live entertainment, activities, carnival rides and other attractions on Butcher Bend Road near Mineral Wells.

The fair, which began Tuesday and runs through Saturday, will also feature track events for ATVs, trucks and tractors, youth and 4-H activities and competitions and more.

Admission is $9 today and $10 per day on Friday and Saturday. A three-day pass is $22. Armed Forces Day is today when active military personnel are admitted free with an active duty or active reserve duty military ID.

Carnival rides are free with the purchase of an admission ticket. Carnival hours are 4 to 11 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 1 to 11 p.m. Saturday.

Reserved seating for the week’s concerts is $5 today through Saturday by calling the fair office at 304-489-1301. This year’s entertainment lineup includes Trent Tomlinson today, Sundance Head on Friday and Canaan Smith on Saturday.

– A country music artist, Trent Tomlinson’s hits include “Drunker Than Me,” “One Wing in the Fire” and “Just Might Have Her Radio On.”

– Sundance Head is an American country-soul singer and songwriter. In 2016, he was the winner of Season 11 of “The Voice” on NBC. He is the son of American singer Roy Head.

– Canaan Smith is a country music singer/songwriter whose singles include “We Got Us” and “Love You Like That.”
