Alisha Rose Ewing and Kevin Joseph Rook were united in marriage on May 12, 2012, at East Muskingum Park Gazebo in Marietta. Richard Saltzwadel officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Loren and Beverly Ewing of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of Glen and Rosemary Weckbacher and Aunekia Ewing and the late Howard Ewing, all of Marietta. She is a 2004 graduate of Marietta High School and is a merchandiser for Macy’s at Easton Town Center.
The bridegroom is the son of Kevin D. and Susan Rook of Ocala, Fla. He is the grandson of Gail Rook and the late George Rook of Ocala, and the late John and Rose Bulkley of Corning, N.Y. He is a 2000 graduate of Lake Weir High School and is a kitchen manager for Logan’s Roadhouse.
The bride, escorted by her father, arrived in a 1910 Cadillac, owned and driven by Dave Stalnaker of Marietta. She wore a strapless, tiered organza A-line wedding gown with a beaded floral bodice. She also wore pearl jewelry, a gift from the bridegroom and teal ballet flats. She carried a bouquet of lavender and white roses with orchids and spider mums. and also a handkerchief that was her great-grandmother’s.
Kayla Ewing, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Amanda McLeish-Boley was matron of honor. The bridesmaid was Marissa Ewing, sister of the bride. They wore teal satin dresses and carried bouquets of white roses and spider mums. The flower girl was Shania Hope, niece of the bridegroom.
Steve Heckathorne was best man. Groomsmen were Jason Hyer and Zach Christian. The ringbearers were Zanatos Sinclair and Sergio Grey, nephews of the bridegroom.
Family pets, Bella and Shaddix, were taken down the aisle by Brennan Lamp and Austin Yoak, cousin of the bride. Guests were registered by Sabrina Heckathorne. The mothers of the bride and bridegroom were escorted down the aisle by Shawn and Austin Murphy, who were ringbearers in the bride’s parent’s wedding.
A reception with dinner and dancing followed the ceremony at the McLeish Auction Center in Marietta.
After a honeymoon in Hocking Hills, they are residing in Gahanna, Ohio.
