Hernandez-Painter

David Painter and Tanya Hernandez from Bronx, N.Y., were united in marriage on Dec. 26, 2012, at Parr Hill Church in Beavertown with Pastor David Beaver officiating the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Fernando and Dalila Hernandez of Belize. She is a member of B CO, 325th MI BN, stationed at Fort Totten in Queens, N.Y. She is currently attending Bronx Community College in Bronx, N.Y., and will later continue her studies at John Jay College of Criminal Justice where she will pursue a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Forensics.

The bridegroom is the son of Larry and Chris Painter of Marietta, and Juanita Painter of DuBois, Pa. He is a member of B CO, 325th MI BN, stationed at Fort Totten in Queens, N.Y. He is currently attending Lehman College in Bronx, N.Y., where he is pursuing a degree in Anthropology, Biology and Chemistry. He is also captain of Lehman College’s baseball team.

The bride chose Brehanna Mahoney, sister of the bridegroom, to be her maid of honor and the bridegroom chose Larry Painter, his father, to be his best man.

The intimate ceremony was attended by close family members, and the bride’s family in Belize was able to “attend” the wedding via Facetime.

A reception will be held in Belize on Dec. 26, 2013.

The couple will continue to reside in Bronx, N.Y.
