Ashley Roxanne Mennillo and Matthew William Bartenschlag were married July 31, 2015 at Glen Dale United Methodist in Glen Dale, W.Va., where her parents and maternal grandparents were also wed. Pastor John Morrison officiated the evening candlelight ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jeffrey and Jill Mennillo of Parkersburg. She is the granddaughter of Jon and Carolyn Saffell of Glen Dale, W.Va., and Butch and Julie Mennillo of Wheeling, W.Va., and the great-granddaughter of Mrs. Marco (Virginia) Mennillo of Wheeling. She is a 2010 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a 2015 graduate of West Virginia University, where she earned a degree in mathematics. She is self-employed at ReadySetPet, LLC in Morgantown, W.Va.
The groom is the son of John and Kim Bartenschlag of Parkersburg. He is the grandson of Wilda Bartenschlag of Lewisville, Ohio. He is a 2005 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a 2009 graduate of West Virginia University, where he earned a degree in computer science. He is a student in the John Hopkins Computer Science Master’s program, and is employed as a group lead for the Mitre Corporation in Fairmont, W.Va.
Alyssa Mennillo, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Catie Kelly served as bridesmaid; Sadie and Lila Bartenschlag, nieces of the groom, were flower girls.
Groomsmen were Mark Parsons, best man, and H.K. Carpenter. Ring bearer was Marco King, cousin of the bride.
A reception was held at the Grand Vue Ballroom in Moundsville, W.Va. A honeymoon trip was taken to Portland, Ore., and San Diego, Calif. The couple resides in Morgantown.
