Megan Anne Reid and Derek Christian Cole were united in marriage on Friday, June 12, 2015, in an outdoor ceremony at the Hidden Vineyard Wedding Barn in Berrien Springs, Mich. Justin Cole, brother of the groom, officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Music was provided by Michelle Cole. Ceremony readings were given by Ryan Collins and Abby Cole. The bride’s parents hosted a seated dinner and reception following the ceremony in the Wedding Barn. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Boulevard Inn and Bistro in St. Joseph, Michigan.
The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Patti Reid of Crown Point, Ind. She is the granddaughter of Harold and Pat Reid, James Donley, and the late Irene Donley, all of Crown Point. The groom is the son of Randy and Beth Cole of Little Hocking. He is the grandson of Dorothy Cole and the late Leslie Cole of Belpre and Bob and Phyllis Christian of Oak Hill.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a floor length A-line gown of ivory. The gown featured an illusion neckline and lace bodice and was complimented by a fingertip veil. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of roses, lisianthus, silver brunia, and snapdragons.
Jennifer Collins, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Melodi Lau, Sarah Davis, and Laura Reid, sister-in-law of the bride. Niece of the bride, Caroline Reid, was the flower girl. The attendants wore floor length gowns of dusty blue and carried bouquets similar to the bride’s.
Landon Cole, brother of groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Jeremy Hooker, Nephi Rios, and Brian Reid, brother of the bride. Owen Cole, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer.
The bride is a graduate of Crown Point High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Valparaiso University and a master’s degree from Ball State University, both in elementary education. She is employed as a third-grade teacher at Danville Elementary School in Danville, Ind. The groom is a graduate of Warren High School. He graduated from Butler University with a doctor of pharmacy degree and is employed at Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis.
Following a honeymoon at Galley Bay Resort in Antigua, Derek and Megan reside in Indianapolis.
