Watson-Mercer

Audrey Joy Watson and Brandon Harris Mercer were united in marriage Aug. 16, 2015 at the gazebo in East Muskingum Park in Marietta. Cody Bauman officiated for the double-ring ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Mitch and Dena Watson of Belpre. She is the granddaughter of Joy Haynes and the late Sheldon Haynes of Belpre, and Ramona Watson and the late Kenneth Watson of Belpre.

The groom is the son of Sharon Mercer of Belpre and the grandson of Monroe and Debbie Modesitt and the late Priscilla Modesitt of Belpre.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a cream with antique lace and pearls, trumpet-style gown, and carried cream baby roses and teal calla lilies.

Maid of honor was Nathan Watson of Belpre, brother of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Megan George of Belpre, cousin of the bride, and Cassie Wright of Xenia, friend of the bride.

Flower girl was Annabella Potter of Troy, a daughter of a friend of the bride.

Best man was Aaron Lopreste of Marietta, best friend of the groom.

Groomsmen were Jimmy Hensley of Belpre, cousin of the groom, and Justin Hensley of Belpre, cousin of the groom.

Ring bearer was Lawren Wright of Xenia, son of the bridesmaid.

Violinist was Claire Dent of Marietta.

Guests were registered by Darlene Gum, aunt of the bride.

A reception was held at The Knight of Columbus in Marietta, where an Italian buffet was served, along with a dessert table. The wedding cake was a three-tiered chocolate and vanilla with raspberry filling, cream icing with teal callalillies and burgundy ribbon cream roses.

Attendants at the reception were Robin George, Jeremy Wigal, Jennifer Wilson, Debbie Dietz, Christie Flanigan, family of the bride. Music was provided by DJ Wheels Entertainment.

The bride graduated from Belpre High School in 2010 and is employed by Marietta Memorial Hospital.

The groom graduated from Belpre High School in 2008 and employed by Peoples Bank.
