Rena’ Lee Knapp and Mark David McElfresh were united in marriage on Nov. 1, 2015 at Veterans of Foreign Wars in Marietta.
The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Carol Ford, the late Robert L. Harris, and Linda and Louis Diehl, all of Marietta. She is the granddaughter of William and Maxine Ford, the late Russell and Evelyn Britton, and the late Blaine and Dorothy Harris, all of Marietta.
The groom is the son of Ruby and the late Robert McElfresh Jr. He is the grandson of the late Robert McElfresh Sr. and Mariam McElfresh of Marietta, and the late Ray and Mary Tidd of Newport.
Given in marriage by her father, Jerry, the bride wore a satin, cream color, floor-length, long train wedding dress with shoulder-length white veil, with lace. She carried a fall flower arrangement.
Maid of honor was Stacy Clagett, sister of the bride. She wore a black, mid-length dress and carried a fall flower arrangement.
Flower girl was Brooklyn McAtee, granddaughter of the bride. She rode in a wagon pulled by Brittani Mabeus, the daughter of the bride.
Best man was Justin Knapp, son of the bride.
Ring bearer was Grayson Drotovick, the bride’s nephew. He rode in a wagon pulled by Brittani Mabeus.
Guests were registered by Dorothy McElfresh, sister of the groom.
Linda Diehl, the mother of the bride, was walked up with Justin Knapp to light the candle.
Ruby McElfresh, the mother of the groom, was walked up with Jacob Clagett to light the candle.
Pictures of both late fathers sat on the front tables with candles and flowers. Brittani Mabeus lit the candle for Rena’s dad. Dorothy McElfresh lit the candle for their dad.
The reception was also held at the VFW in Marietta, thanks to Jill Higgins, the bride’s sister.
The bride graduated from Warren High School. She is employed at Genesis Community Ambulance Service.
The groom went to Marietta High School, and MTA School in Columbus Broadview branch of welding. He is employed at Haessly Hardwood Lumber.
The couple went to Hershey, Pa., for their honeymoon. The couple resides in Marietta.
