¯ A deputy responded to Marietta Memorial Hospital Saturday in reference to Franklin T. Ross Jr., of 2619 Tick Ridge Road, Vincent, accidentally shooting his hand. No foul play is suspected. Case closed.

¯ Deputies were dispatched to Muskingum Township on Saturday in reference to a 17-year-old female running away from home and her whereabouts being unknown. All attempts to make contact with her through her cell phone and other contacts met with negative results. The child has done this in the past and most generally would be found in Parkersburg. A summons will be requested for the child through Washington County Juvenile Court on a charge of being unruly.

¯ A deputy responded to 3249 Newbury Road, Little Hocking on Saturday in reference to a child custody complaint. Deputies spoke with Susan Bell, who said she was there to speak with James Kittle about child visitation. Bell said when Kittle came to the door he pushed her back near the edge of the porch. Deputies then spoke with Dustin Eugene Riffle, 34, of 307 34th St., Vienna, W.Va., who had driven Bell to the property. Riffle immediately advised deputies that he had a weapon in his possession, in a rear compartment of the vehicle. Deputies took possession of the .45 caliber handgun, finding it unloaded, with two magazines also retrieved. Deputies than made contact at the residence with Kittle along with other residents of the home. Kittle stated he heard someone “beating” on the door and when he opened the door, Bell began screaming at him and spit in his face, at which time Kittle pushed Bell away. Kittle said Riffle got out of the vehicle, holding a gun in his right hand.  Riffle admitted he did have the weapon un-holstered and carried it in his right hand. Riffle was arrested for aggravated menacing and transported to the Washington County Jail. No protections orders were requested from this incident.

¯ Sherri Lawell, of 101 Theiss Ave., Marietta, reported Saturday damage to a vehicle owned by Lynda E. Anderson, of 101 Theiss Ave., Marietta. This case remains under investigation.

¯ While at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Saturday reporting a criminal damaging incident, William D. Eckert, 39, of 101 Theiss Ave., Marietta, reported he drove his mother’s vehicle to the office. A check through dispatch confirmed that Eckert was currently under a non-compliance suspension. A citation for driving under suspension was issued to Eckert.

¯ Ryan Danner, of 4650 Sand Hill Road, Marietta reported Saturday that his ex-wife, Ruby J. Danner, 31, of 29991 E. Belpre Pike Road, Coolville, was damaging his car and breaking out all of the windows. Deputies observed the vehicle damage. Ruby told a deputy she “snapped” and caused the damage. A deputy requested a summons be issued to Ruby J. Danner for criminal damaging.

¯ On Sunday a deputy responded to the Village of Beverly to a possible domestic incident. After speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.

¯ A deputy was dispatched Sunday to 204 Ferry St., Beverly, in reference to Richard Carl Flood, 51, of that address repeatedly calling the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Prior to this incident, Flood called the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center about 13 times via the non-emergency number. None of the calls were him seeking any type of assistance. Flood was not only told by dispatchers on this date about the uses of 911 and the non-emergency number, but he was also told by deputies multiple times on this date as well. Flood was arrested previously on April 30 for the same activities. He was arrested for disrupting public services and telecommunications harassment and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

¯ A deputy responded to 4361 Pleasant Ridge Road, Marietta, on Sunday to assist the Marietta City Police Department with the recovery of a stolen trailer. The property, a 14′ homemade trailer, double axel, was recovered and turned over to the Marietta City Police Department for their investigation.

¯  David A. Walker reported Sunday his brother, Christopher Walker, had threatened him with a handgun at 2836 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent. He said Christopher never had a gun during this incident or specifically threatened him with the gun, but feared Christopher may retrieve one. Christopher Walker, 26, said he never threatened David with a gun at any time during this incident and it was all verbal. Christopher admitted he did call David a vulgar name, stating that if he had any teeth he would knock them out. Christopher Walker was arrested and transported to Washington County Jail on a charge of domestic violence.

¯ Kathy A. Wolfe-Crouyser, of 2936 Lake Road, Fleming, reported items missing from the residence on Sunday. This case remains under investigation.

¯ Kathy J. Gearhart, of 195 N. Bruce St., Little Hocking, reported items missing from her residence on Monday. This case remains under investigation.

¯ An employee with Bada Bing, 47410 State Route 7, Newport, reported a break-in on Monday. Numerous items of value were taken. This case remains under investigation.

¯ Jason A. Shuck, of 19330 State Route 550, Marietta, reported a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 missing from his property on Tuesday. This case remains under investigation.

¯ On Tuesday a deputy responded to 425 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, in reference to a female screaming and making threats. Marissa Sarringhausen reported that she called law enforcement because Laura Sarringhausen had shoved her daughter during a fit of rage.  Laura said she never touched the child but admitted to yelling at them.  A summons is being requested for Laura Michelle Sarringhausen, 18, for disorderly conduct.

Arrests/Washington County

The following people were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ Michael Scott Ayers, 33, of 1913 Washington Blvd., Belpre, for failure to appear, a felony. Ayers was picked up at the Orient Detention Facility and processed into the Washington County Jail on Tuesday.

¯ Dustin Todd Potter, 33, of 365 Longwood Drive, Circleville, for theft, a misdemeanor. Potter was picked up at the Pickaway County Jail and processed into the Washington County Jail on Tuesday.

¯ Anthony Joseph Curtis, 39, of 911 Ayers St., Zanesville, on a warrant for failure to appear, a felony. Curtis was picked at CRC and processed into the Washington County Jail on Tuesday.

¯ Matthew Alexander Hall, 24, of 231 Hillcrest Drive, Marietta, was arrested Tuesday for no operator’s license, a misdemeanor.

¯ Charles Raymond Miller, 20, of 910 Caywood Road, Marietta, was arrested Wednesday for robbery, a felony, criminal trespass, operating with expired operator’s license and no plates, all misdemeanors.

¯ Nebiu Daniel Tefera, 23, of 6427 Kelsey Court, Canal Winchester, was arrested Wednesday for probation violation, a felony.
