New CMO at Peoples Bank

Peoples Bank recently welcomed Carmella Manges as chief marketing officer, senior vice president.

“We are very pleased with our continued success in attracting high-level talent to lead,” said Chuck Sulerzyski, Peoples Bank president and CEO. “Carmella has more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning and the execution of sophisticated digital marketing, e-commerce, and data management campaigns. Her broad background in financial management and strong leadership will be instrumental in guiding Peoples Bank to become a more prominent institution throughout Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky.”

Manges reports to Sulerzyski and is responsible for the Peoples Bank brand, strategic marketing and product profitability in support of business objectives.

“After working with so many different financial services providers over the years, it’s very clear that Peoples Bank is unique. It’s an exciting time to be here and I look forward to contributing to the bank’s continued success,” said Manges.

Prior to joining Peoples Bank, she served as vice president, marketing at NFP, a leading insurance broker and consultant in Austin, Texas. While there, Manges directed marketing and public relations for its affiliate, which focused on recruiting independent broker-dealers and RIAs around the country. In addition to marketing strategy, she was tasked with guiding the implementation of marketing automation, leading change management initiatives for their in-house agency and integrating the CRM system to support new business development.

Before moving to Austin, Texas, she founded and led an award-winning marketing firm from 1994-2004 that provided strategic marketing and consulting services to community banks and related financial services firms in Pennsylvania, Ohio and other states.

A native of Pittsburgh, Penn., she earned a master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
