¯ An employee of Lowe’s Home Improvement, 842 Pike St., reported May 23 the theft of two power washers from the parking lot the evening before. The male suspect was driving a dark blue minivan. Police obtained video surveillance.

¯ On May 23, an officer was dispatched to 208 Montgomery St. in reference to a juvenile complaint. The girl and her mother said that as the girl was walking home from school three boys from her school started calling her names and two of the boys spit on her. Charges were filed through Washington County Juvenile Court.

¯ Joshua D. Schwendeman, of 316 1/2 Harmar St., reported May 23 that a Whirlpool air conditioning unit had been stolen from the front porch of the residence between 1:20 and 6 p.m.

¯ Marietta High School officials reported a problem with an 18-year-old student on May 24. The student left the grounds and was stopped by the police coming from the school. James L. Roberton, of 139 Leland Ave., was arrested for disorderly conduct.

¯ A suspicious person was reported in the woods near Buckeye Park on May 24. The man thew something on the ground as police approached. Brandon L. Weimer, of Nelsonville, was arrested for obstructing official business and also for a felony contempt warrant held by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

¯ On May 24, an officer investigated the report of a suspicious male in the gravel lot of 506 Pike St. Upon arrival, the suspect was found exposing himself to urinate facing the motel. Brandon S. Kohl, of Forksville, Pa. was arrested.

¯ The manager of Colonial Terrace Apartments, 200 Jefferson Square, reported a threat on May 24.

¯ An employee of the Marathon station at 498 Pike St. reported a shoplifter on May 24.

¯ On May 24, an officer investigated the failure to return a rented pressure washer from Bridgeport Equipment, 15 Acme St.

¯ A theft was reported May 24 at Tractor Supply, 100 Cherry Tree Lane.

¯ Greta D. Guimond, of 507 Tupper St., reported Friday that her vehicle had been entered and items stolen from it.

¯ Wesley F. Warrener, of 105 Dudley Ave., reported a theft on Friday.

¯ On Friday, Marietta Middle School officials reported students posting an inappropriate video. Students were spoken to and their parents were called. Two students were suspended out of school.

¯ There was a shoplifting complaint Friday at Walmart, 804 Pike St. Miranda D. Derby, of 111 W. Montgomery St., Lot 12, advised she had stolen store merchandise which had already been recovered. She was transported to the Washington County Jail for a charge of theft but was later released on a personal recognizance bond.

¯ An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Woodland Avenue on Friday in reference to a suspicious female carrying a bucket and a basket full of items. The woman was located behind 141 Woodland Ave. and identified as Megan E. Gilliam, of 220 Harmar St. She was found to have slow garbled speech, bloodshot and glassy eyes, constricted pupils and was unsteady on her feet. The officer learned that Gilliam didn’t have permission to be on the property. Gilliam was arrested for disorderly conduct/intoxication and criminal trespassing.

¯ On Saturday, Walmart reported a shoplifter who had not yet crossed the final point of sale. Upon arrival offices made contact with loss prevention who advised that they had one female in the loss prevention office due to her shoplifting items. The woman was identified as Amber E. Smith, of 503 Hill St., Parkersburg. Smith further advised that her father refused to wire her money and that she was upset and made the decision to steal multiple items from Walmart. Smith was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail.

¯ Officers were dispatched Saturday to 406 1/2 Montgomery St., for a report of an unresponsive male identified as Lewis E. Muro, of that address. The Marietta Fire Department personnel gave CPR and transported Muro to Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was pronounced dead at Marietta Memorial Hospital and the coroner was contacted for transportation to Montgomery County for autopsy.

Reports/Washington County

¯Deputies responded to 445 Goss Fork Road, Lower Salem on May 24 in reference to problems with Eric Christopher Edgar, 32. Edgar advised deputies that he had marijuana and a glass pipe on his person. A consent to search of his person was obtained and those items were located. Edgar was arrested on a warrant out of Marietta Municipal Court as well as being charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

¯ A deputy was dispatched to the Washington County Career Center on May 25 in reference to a child’s behavior. Two male subjects in class and one was overheard making a threatening statement about a female to the other juvenile. Both juveniles admitted to the threat, and the one juvenile stated that he had no intention of harming the female. The juvenile’s parents were contacted and charges of disorderly conduct are being filed in Washington County Juvenile Court.

¯ Par Mar Stores, 1300 Park Ave., New Matamoras, reported possible counterfeit monies received at the store on May 25.

The following people were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ Miranda Dawn Derby, 32, of 109 Washington St., Marietta, was arrested Friday for theft, a misdemeanor.

¯ Jericho Lee Pugh, 27, of 1490 Pugh Road, Stockport, was arrested Friday for probation violation, a misdemeanor.

¯ Joshua Daniel Campbell, 32, of 840 Echo Valley Road, Waterford, was arrested Friday for probation violation, a misdemeanor.

¯ Megan Elizabeth Gilliam, 29, of 4512 North State Route 376 NW #119, McConnelsville, was arrested Friday for disorderly conduct and criminal trespassing, both misdemeanors.

¯ Christopher Mathew Hoce, 28, of 1312 39th St., Parkersburg, was arrested Saturday for OVI, OVI.17 breath, and left of center, all misdemeanors.

¯ Victoria Nicole Russell, 34, of 43929 Fulda Road, Caldwell, was arrested Saturday for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

¯ Abdullah Ali A Al Qarni, 25, of 103 Third St., Marietta, was arrested Saturday on warrants for disobeying a traffic signal and operating with expired operator’s license, both misdemeanors.

¯ Brian Scott Kelley, 46, of 3120 Lynn St., Parkersburg, was arrested Saturday for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.

¯ Lori Ann Williams, 33, of 621 Front St., Marietta, was arrested Saturday for theft, a misdemeanor.

¯ Dustin Michael Omspach, 35, of 314 Fourth St., Lowell, was arrested Saturday for failure to comply with order or signal of an officer, a felony, OVI suspension, reckless operation, failure to control, unsafe vehicle and no license plates, all misdemeanors.

¯ Amber Elizabeth Smith, 36, of 3307 James St., Parkersburg, was arrested Saturday for obstructing official business and theft, both misdemeanors.

¯ Isaac Martin, 47, of 106 Meadowcrest Lane, Little Hocking, was arrested Saturday for assault, a misdemeanor, and probation violation.

¯ Brandon Lee Hoffert, 32, of 421 Phillips St., Marietta, was arrested Sunday for drug instrument possession and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.

¯ Thomas Christain Kaptis, 42, of 9580 State Route 339, Vincent, was arrested Sunday for drug possession and having weapons while under disability, both felonies.

¯ Kimberly Nicole Dudley, 27, of 1851 Seventh St., Parkersburg, was arrested Monday for failure to register and FRA suspension, both misdemeanors.
