Churchtown Busy Bunch

The Churchtown Busy Bunch 4-H club met June 4, 2017 in the St. John Central School basement. The meeting was called to order by President Richard Canterbury. The American pledge was lead by Isaiah Tullius and the 4-H was lead by Caleb Schaad. The treasurer’s report was given by Ruslan Strahler. Meeting Minutes were reported by Anna Strahler and were approved as read.

A safety report was presented by Caleb Schaad titled “Push Mowing Safety.” A health report was presented by Chad Lang titled “Get off the Grid.” Under advisor announcements they discussed pre-fair judging and skillathon dates for all members showing livestock at local fairs. Under new business club members voted to provide food and work the buyer’s reception at the Waterford Fair hog sale. We also talked about how we could take a club trip using the money we had saved in the club account. Members took a vote and the results will be discussed on the next meeting date. Ruslan Strahler gave a demonstration on “Safe Use of Guns.”Caleb Schaad gave a demonstration on “Rockets” and Kail Bauerbach gave a demonstration on “Dairy Breeds.” Connor Tullius made a motion to adjourn the meeting and seconded by Isaiah Tullius. Members enjoyed refreshments after the meeting
