3 enter guilty pleas in court appearances

Three people entered guilty pleas in Washington County Commons Pleas Court this week:

¯ Alice Estep, 35, of 3000 S.E. Branch Road, Malta, pleaded guilty to failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony, and possession of drugs, a fourth-degree felony, and is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 25.

¯ Richard Farnsworth, 57, of 761 Buckeye Ave., Marietta, pleaded guilty to a bill of information for aggravated assault, a fourth-degree felony. He stabbed a roommate at the home they shared and the man needed medical attention for a 1-inch cut. Farnsworth was sentenced to one year of community control and 90 days jail. He received 38 days of credit for time served in jail prior to sentencing.

¯ Christopher Wolfe, 40, of 207 Eighth St., Beverly, was sentenced to five years in prison Thursday after pleading guilty in two separate cases.

The first case was centered on a home invasion in Warren Township on March 17, 2016. Wolfe pleaded guilty to breaking and entering, a fifth-degree felony, and possession of criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony in exchange for the prosecution dropping a third-degree felony burglary charge.

The second case began eight days later on March 25, 2016, when Wolfe stole a 2000 Dodge Ram pickup truck and a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle in Belpre.

Wolfe pleaded to two counts of grand theft of a motor vehicle, both fourth-degree felonies, in exchange for an additional breaking and entering and possession of criminal tools to be dropped.
