Williamstown Bicycle Tour Sept. 17

The Fourth annual Williamstown Bicycle Tour is planned for the community at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17.

Riders of all abilities are welcome to this event sponsored by the Marietta Rowing and Cycling Club beginning in Tomlinson Park.

The tour of quiet residential streets is designed to permit cyclists not necessarily comfortable riding in city streets with motor vehicles to ride in the safety of a group with experienced and caring cyclists. Williamstown residents John and Kittie Clark lead the ride. Other volunteers from Williamstown and Marietta help to ensure a safe and fun event for all participants. The ride usually is 7-10 miles and lasts about 90 minutes.

Cyclists gather at ride’s end for ice cream at a local establishment by the river.
