Visiting with vets

U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson, R-Ohio, visits with veterans and other residents of the Glenwood Retirement Community Tuesday to talk about the nation’s budget and health care reform. “I would like to thank Congressman Johnson for taking the time out of his busy schedule to address our resident veterans,” said Glenwood Executive Director Linda Dailey. “Even now, these gentlemen contribute to our community here at Glenwood in a variety of ways.” The following World War II veterans were present for the address: Dayton Goddard, Harold Craft, George Henning, Ken Chenoweth, Paul Williams, Bill Ankrom, Sam Lamba, Paul Powell and Delmar Smith.

The following Korean War veterans were present as well: James Cline, Art Buell, Carl Miller, Tom Berry, Eugene Jeffrey, Russ Reid, Roger Roberts and Al Squibb. The following Vietnam veterans were present: Dick Hammat, Claude Denton and Edward Moyer. And Jack Russell, who served during the Cold War, Jerry Littlefield, Charlie Wilsbacher, Allan Norris and Bob Oliver, who all four served post-Korea and two employees who are also veterans were recognized Tuesday.
