FLEDA dinner Nov. 3 at Frontier High
FLEDA will hold its annual Commerce Dinner at 6 p.m. Nov. 3 in the Frontier High School cafetorium. Civil War general
The Civil War service of Union Maj. Gen. Don Carlos Buell will be honored with a dedication of a historical marker. The ceremony will be in conjunction with the Lowell Octoberfest parade at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Main and Market streets on Buell Island.
Autumn Leaves Bazaar Friday
Autumn Leaves Bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at Faith United Methodist Church, 503 Seventh St., Marietta. There will be homemade vegetable, bean and chili, chicken and noodles, baked goods, many crafts, lunch served.
‘Ohio Night Stalkers’ program at Barlow
The Barlow Library will host a free program, “Ohio Night Stalkers,” at 1 p.m. Saturday. Join M. Feltner and M. Miller, Bigfoot researchers and lecturers as they discuss their field research and photographic evidence. They will share stories, footprint casts and their thrilling audio tracks from the chilly night in October 2014 when they were followed in Adams County.
Washington County Special Olympics will host Longaberger basket bingo on Saturday at the Marietta Knights of Columbus. Doors will open at 3 p.m. and the games begin at 5 p.m. All baskets are filled. Cost is 20 games for $20.

Marietta City Council At-Large Candidate Stephen Harper told Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce officials prior to the event Tuesday that he is a full-time student and could not attend the candidate forum. Incorrect information appeared in Wednesday’s paper.
Marietta City Board of Education Candidate John Lehman is the seventh candidate running for three spots in district’s leadership. Lehman was mistakenly omitted in Wednesday’s coverage of the forum.
