Pioneer Ladies

Style Show Tuesday

The Pioneer Ladies Civitan Style Show & Salad Supper will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday (doors open at 5 p.m.), at K of C Hall, 308 Gilman St. Admission is $15. There will be fashions by Peebles, CATO and Christopher Banks and a purse auction by Williams Auctioneers. Door prizes will be drawn all night and there will be a raffle.

Free screenings at city health office

On Tuesday, there will be free health screenings, including blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol screenings, held at the Marietta City Health Department, 304 Putnam St., from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Fasting nine to 12 hours before the screening is recommended. No appointment is necessary. This clinic is funded by the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine Community Health Programs. Flu shots will also be available from the Marietta City Health Department from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Medicare, Medicaid and most insurance are accepted.

Men’s club pancake breakfast Sunday

Masterton Lodge 429 Men’s Club pancake breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday at the Lower Salem Community Building. The menu consists of pancakes, bacon, sausage eggs, toast and drinks. All money raised will be given to local charities.

Children Services Board meets today

The Washington County Children Services Board will meet in regular session at 5:30 p.m. today at 204 Davis Ave. An agenda is available upon request by contacting the agency at 740-373-3485.

Country Fair at

Putnam church

Putnam Congregational Church will be having a “Country Fair” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church, located at 707 Masonic Park Road, Devola. Lunch will be served. There will be vegetable soup, chicken sandwiches, a bake sale and more.

Reno Water takes trustee applications

The Reno Water and Sewer District is accepting applications for an appointed trustee. This position is to be filled for one board member to finish out the term ending June 30, 2018. Applications can be picked up at Reno the water office, 170 Mount Tom Road. Office hours are 11 .m. to 4 p.m. Monday – Friday. Applications must be turned in by Tuesday.
