Guilty plea to weapons charge

From staff reports

A Marietta man pleaded guilty in Washington County Common Pleas Judge Mark Kerenyi’s court Wednesday to a third-degree felony charge of having weapons under disability and misdemeanor probation violation.

Mark Plaugher, 38, last known address 815 Fifth St., was sentenced to 24 months, zero days credit for the felony and 24 months with 120 days credit for the misdemeanor. He is currently in custody at the Washington County Jail where he will serve out his sentence.

In September, detectives from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report that Plaugher, a convicted felon, was in possession of a firearm. Law enforcement confiscated the weapon and charged Plaugher, then with no address listed, for having a weapon under disability. Marietta police arrested Plaugher in August for probation violation.
