BPA chapter at career center elects officers
The Business Professionals of America (BPA) organization at the Washington County Career Center elected its chapter officers recently. The chapter includes students from the following programs: Digital Marketing, Graphic Design & Video Production, and Health Information Technology.
Officers for the 2017-18 school year are:
¯ President, Sydney Benson, is a senior from Warren enrolled in the Health Information Technology program. She is the daughter of Brian Benson of Vincent and Tonya Robey of Marietta.
¯ Vice President, Chiana Eddy, is a senior from Fort Frye enrolled in the Graphic Design & Video Production program. She is the daughter of Bruce and Renay Eddy of Lower Salem.
¯ Secretary, James Covey, is a senior from Marietta enrolled in the Health Information Technology program. He is the son of Robert Covey of Marietta and the late Lisa Patterson.
¯ Treasurer, Tyanna Washburn, is a senior from Marietta enrolled in the Health Information Technology program. She is the daughter of Eric Washburn of Marietta and Tina Dalrymple of Marietta.
¯ Parliamentarian, Evan Law, is a junior from Belpre enrolled in the Graphic Design & Video Production program. He is the son of Dan Law of Belpre and Fran Law of Belpre.
¯ Historian, Thomas Ketcham, is a junior from Marietta enrolled in the Graphic Design & Video Production program. He is the son of Steve and Laurie Byus of Marietta.
The Information Technology programs are a combination of high-level academic courses and state-of-the-art technology courses. The programs of instruction provide opportunities for students to prepare for and achieve career objectives in business and computer occupations. Business Professionals of America is a student organization for high school and college students that help prepare for a world-class workforce. Through co-curricular programs and service, members compete in technical competitions, develop leadership skills, network with one another and professionals across the nation, and get involved in community service.
