¯ On Tuesday, the dog warden responded to 314 Harmar St., Marietta in reference to a complaint of a deceased rabbit in a small cage at the rear of the residence. Upon arrival, Elizabeth Biggins exited the residence and advised she resided at this location and was the owner of the rabbits. The dog warden observed five cages with a rabbit in each, but three of the rabbits were deceased. The three deceased rabbits were in different stages of decomposition. There were two other cages and those cages each contained one rabbit as well. The cages were all extremely filthy and only one of the cages contained food, which was one of the cages that contained a deceased rabbit. Only three of the cages contained water. The rabbits had no shelter or bedding. A summons was requested to be issued to Elizabeth Biggins, 25, of 314 Harmar St., Marietta, for animal cruelty.

¯ On Thursday, a deputy observed Frederick McKitrick operating a black Ford truck. Knowing of an active warrant on file, the deputy attempted to make contact with McKitrick. McKitrick then pulled into the Marathon parking lot and fled. The deputy caught up to McKitrick as he was running into Bridgeport Equipment. McKitrick voluntarily turned himself in, was handcuffed and searched. McKitrick advised the deputy that he had a needle in the front of his pants, which was retrieved. While being searched at the jail a small baggie of suspected meth was located in his pockets as well. The total weight was found to be 1.12 grams. Frederick Gale McKitrick, 35, of 7446 Federal Road, Cutler, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug abuse instrument and obstructing official business. McKitrick was also served the warrant for theft.

¯ Isaac Martin, of 106 Meadowcrest Lane, Little Hocking, failure to appear for pretrial, original charge disorderly conduct.

¯ Robert O’Brien, of 343 Main St., Lower Salem, failure to appear.

Arrests/Washington County

The following people were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ William Lewis Campbell, 29, of 541 Main St., Malta, on a warrant for a probation violation, a misdemeanor. Campbell was picked up in Malta and processed into the Washington County Jail on Thursday.

¯ Frederick Gale McKitrick, 35, of 7446 Federal Road, Cutler, was arrested Thursday for illegal conveyance of weapons/items in a detention facility, a felony, drug instruments possession and obstructing official business, all misdemeanors, and a warrant for theft, a misdemeanor.

¯ David Glen Mayle, 31, homeless, was arrested Thursday for probation violation, a felony.

¯ Justin William Barnes, 37, of 315 Hull Road, Whipple, was arrested Thursday for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

¯ Jaclyn Virginia Caldwell, 27, of 714 Tuttle St., Belpre,was arrested Thursday for making false alarms, a misdemeanor.
