¯ Malisa Barnes, of 315 Hull Road, Whipple, reported Thursday that her husband, Justin Barnes, had physically thrown her out of the residence by grabbing her and pulling her onto the porch. She had marks on her arm consistent with her story. Malisa said Justin went on to say he would burn the home down, which he has threatened in the past. Justin admitted to grabbing Malisa, but states he did not threaten to burn the home down. Justin William Barnes, 37, was placed under arrest for domestic violence.

¯Jo Ellen Daugherty, of 26935 State Route 7, Marietta, reported items removed from her residence on Thursday. This case remains under investigation.

¯ Dollar General, 10282 State Route 550, Vincent, reported items stolen from the business on Thursday. This case remains under investigation.

¯ On Friday, a deputy responded to 585 Browns Road, Lot 9, Marietta, in regards to a domestic disturbance. It was reported that Hunter Brandt had been drinking and became upset with his girlfriend. Brandt’s mother, Cindy Strickland, took the car keys from him due to his drinking, which upset Brandt further. Brandt then began screaming at his mother, eventually breaking a door off the hinges to his mother’s bedroom, where she had retreated to, and then shoving her backwards onto her bed. Strickland’s husband called 911 and was able to keep further violence from occurring until law enforcement arrived. Strickland states that as a result of Brandt’s drinking and violent outbursts, she was in fear for her safety on this date, however, declined a protection order. Hunter Dayne Brandt, 22, of 585 Browns Road, Marietta, was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail where he submitted to a portable breath test, with the result being .185.

¯ A deputy along with the Little Hocking Volunteer Fire Department Squad responded to 3053 State Route 339, Belpre, on Friday to a report of a dog biting a subject at that home. This case remains under investigation.

¯ Deputies responded to Newport Township on Saturday in reference to a domestic violence incident. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.

Arrests/Washington County

The following people were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ Hunter Dayne Brandt, 22, of 585 Browns Road, Marietta, was arrested Friday for open container and domestic violence, both misdemeanors.

¯ Christina Rose Nunn, 47, of 119 Sunset Lane, Marietta, on five warrants for theft, all felonies and four warrants for uttering, all felonies. Nunn was picked up in Tallahassee, Fla. and processed into the Washington County Jail on Saturday.

¯ Chelsey Danielle Bills, 26, of 731 Glendale Road, Marietta, was arrested Saturday for assault, a misdemeanor.

¯ Ralston George Phillips, 43, of 3872 Lancewood Drive, Coral Springs, Fla., was arrested Saturday for OVI and left of center, both misdemeanors.

¯ Jerod Scott Williams, 30, of 1605 Farson St., Belpre, was arrested Saturday for theft, a felony.

¯ Eric Russell Scott Neff, 26, of 240 Walnut St., Marietta, was arrested Saturday for illegal assembly of chemicals and illegal manufacture of drugs, both felonies and driving under suspension, speed, both misdemeanors.

¯ Joshua Eugene Marcum, 30, homeless, was arrested Saturday for illegal assembly of chemicals and illegal manufacture of drugs, both felonies.

¯ Christopher Scott Holder, 33, of 4755 Waterford Road, Marietta, was arrested Sunday for theft, a misdemeanor.

¯ Kelly Jane Farnsworth, 29, of 122 Harmar St., Marietta, was arrested Monday for violation of protection order, a misdemeanor.
