Resource Conservation Service holds landowner meetings
The Washington County Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) office invites landowners with farms or woodlands in Adams, Aurelius, Fearing, Liberty, Muskingum and Salem townships to two informational meetings on funding opportunities for conservation practices that may be installed through the NRCS.
The meetings will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at Our Lady of Mercy Church, located at 5001 Lowell Hill Road, Lowell; and the second meeting from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the Lower Salem Community Building, 101 Second St., Lower Salem.
Discussed will be conservation programs that provide technical and financial assistance for grazing systems, fence, water systems, brush and invasive plant control, woodland management practices, wildlife development practices, cover crop and erosion control on crop land and much more in Washington County.
