$2 bag sale at Vincent area food pantry

A $2 bag sale will be held Monday through Dec. 28 at the thrift store of the Western Washington County Food Pantry, 18 High St., Vincent. Hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday.

Leaf collections begin in Norwood

The City of Marietta Street Department will begin leaf pick-up in Norwood on Monday. Leaf pick-up will begin in lower Norwood including Woodland Avenue, Ingleside Avenue, Wells Avenue and Grant Street. Street crews will move to upper Norwood as the areas in lower Norwood are complete.

Neighborhood Watch Christmas party

The Harmar Hill Neighborhood Watch annual Christmas party will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Lookout Park. There will be cookies, door prizes and light snacks. All Harmar Hill residents are invited to attend.

Little Hocking Water shut off Tuesday

The Little Hocking Water Association will be turning the water off for scheduled maintenance on Tuesday in the following areas: Village of Watertown, including Ohio 676, Ohio 339 north of the intersection with Washington County Road 109. A boil advisory for Little Hocking customers in these areas will be in effect after service is restored. In the event of inclement weather, work will be delayed until the next suitable day.

Humane Society fundraiser this month

The eighth annual They Light Up Our Lives fundraiser for the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley has begun and will continue throughout the month of December.

Remember and honor the pets that have enriched your lives by symbolically buying a light for $5 per pet on the Christmas tree displayed at American Flags and Poles store on Front Street. Pictures of your pets are also being accepted to be put on the tree.

Forms can be picked up at all veterinarian offices, the HSOV and many businesses. They can be dropped off at the HSOV and American Flags and Poles store throughout December.

All proceeds will go to the HSOV.

Children’s Choir to perform Dec. 9

The Marietta Children’s Choir will perform its third annual Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 at First Congregational Church in Marietta.
