Story times for kids

at Beverly Library

The Beverly Library invites children ages 2 to 6 to story times, which are held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and then repeated Wednesday morning at 11 a.m.. Dates are as follows: Dec. 19, 20 (Snow), Jan. 9, 10 (Picnic) and Jan. 23, 24 (snowmen). Also, the Ohio State University Extension with the SNAP-Ed program will be presenting “Come Learn About Our Five Food Groups and How to Shop for Them.” These programs will be on Dec. 21 and Jan. 4 and 18 at 10:30 a.m..

The library is also collecting winter wear for local children again this year. Help decorate the tree with mittens, gloves, hats and scarves. The library will be closed Dec. 23, 24, and 25 and Jan. 1.

Muskingum Twp.

zoning board meets

The Muskingum Township Zoning Board will hold a quarterly meeting at 7 p.m. today at the Muskingum Township Hall, 26 Town Hall Lane, Marietta. This is a public meeting. Any person who wants to speak at the meeting is asked to call Nancy Burnett, Muskingum Township zoning clerk, at 740-373-3557 to register with a topic for the meeting agenda.

Roast beef dinner Wednesday at VFW

A roast beef dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5108, 319 Pike St., Marietta. The cost is $8.

Christmas feast at Presbyterian Church

The fourth annual Christmas Day Feast will be held Christmas Day at the Marietta First Presbyterian Church, 401 Fourth St. For reservations to dine in as a guest in the fellowship hall, call 740-371-4587 and leave your name and the number of guests in your party. Live Christmas music will be performed by the Puls Family String Trio. Doors open at noon and the meal is served at 1 p.m. Meals are free.
