Reports/Washington County

¯ Deputies responded to the Hills Covered Bridge, Newport Township, on Friday for a report of there being explosives underneath the bridge and a trailer in the area. Responding units shut down Hills Bridge Road in the area of the covered bridge. A deputy and K9 responded to the area and conducted a search for explosives with negative results. A semi-trailer in the area of the bridge was never located. Charges for inducing panic were filed on Corissa Angelina Gonzales, 28, of 9 Zion Ridge Road, Marietta, through Marietta Municipal Court.

¯ On Friday, following a traffic stop and field sobriety tests, Terry L. Clark, 50, of 617 1/2 Third St., Marietta, was placed under arrest for OVI and transported to conduct a BAC test, which he refused. Clark was then transported to the Washington County Jail where he was charged with OVI, marked lanes violation and speed.

¯ Brian Brooker, of 4869 Rainbow Road, Lowell, reported Thursday a debit card had been stolen and charges being made on his card. This case remains under investigation.

Arrests/Washington County

The following people were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ Paul Christopher Johnson, 45, homeless, was arrested Thursday for tampering with evidence, and two counts of trafficking in drugs, all felonies.

¯ Joshua Eugene Marcum, 30, homeless, was arrested Thursday on two warrants for illegal manufacturing of drugs and illegal assembly of chemicals, both felonies.

¯ Jessica Lee Carpenter, 41, of 164 Cherokee Way, Elizabeth, W.Va., was arrested Thursday for theft, criminal trespass and drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.

¯ Clint Odell Porter, 52, of 670 Martin St., Defiance, for OVI, on three warrants for operating with expired driver’s license and failure to control, all misdemeanors. Porter was picked up at the county line and processed into the Washington County Jail on Thursday.

¯ David Eugene Waterman, 64, of 1000 Hadley Lane, Marietta, was arrested Thursday for resisting arrest, OMVI and hit skip, all misdemeanors.

¯ Justin Edward Wolfe, 24, of 138 Harmar St., Marietta, was arrested Friday on a warrant for public indecency, a misdemeanor.

¯ Terry Lee Clark, 50, of 617 ¢ Third St., Marietta, was arrested Friday for OVI, speeding and marked lanes, all misdemeanors.
