¯ An officer was dispatched to Go Mart, 842 Pike St., on Dec. 5 in reference to a man who appeared to be under the influence of drugs inside the store. He was located asleep by the front counter. He was later identified as Jason Wriston. A K9 sniff of his vehicle gave a positive indication for drugs and a search revealed a glass smoking pipe and a bottle of morphine. Wriston was transported to the hospital and charges will be filed for possesion of drugs and possesion of drug paraphernalia.

¯ During a traffic stop on Jerrianne Krystal Myers in the 100 block of Wooster Street on Dec. 5, a K9 sniff of the vehicle led to a positive hit where passenger Zachary Barnett was seated. A search revealed a loaded handgun and a marijuana smoking pipe. The handgun was seized due to no proof of ownership and no bill of sale. Barnett was charged with possesion of drug paraphernalia and Myers was cited for driving under suspension.

¯ A home health aide reported Dec. 6 that while at the Putnam Place Apartments she was unable to make contact with the client and a young child inside told her his mother wouldn’t wake up. Officers forced entry into the apartment. Due to the conditions of the apartment, Children Services was contacted. The case remains under investigation and endangering children charges are being considered.

¯ Employees of Par Mar, 101 Alta St., reported Dec. 6 that a man and woman in the store had taken some items on Nov. 30. They were viewed on CCTV footage taking the items. The case remains under investigation.

¯ Sarah F. McClure, of 615 Washington St., reported Thursday that her surveillance system showed someone at the front of her house. The video showed a man walking around her house and then taking a package out of her mailbox.

¯ Walmart, 804 Pike St., reported a shoplifter on Thursday. The suspect attempted to run but then surrendered and turned over the merchandise. Jessica Carpenter, of 811 ¢ Belrock, Belpre, was arrested for theft, trespassing and possesion of drug paraphernalia.

¯ An officer was dispatched to 230 E. Spring St., on Thursday in regard to building materials being stolen from an abandoned house sometime in the last month.

¯ On Thursday, officers responded to a hit-skip crash in the 300 block of N. Seventh St. The driver, David E. Waterman IV, of 1000 Hadley Lane, was found at another location and was intoxicated. While he was being placed in handcuffs, he began resisting. He was charged with OVI and resisting arrest.

¯ On Friday, Corissa Gonzales, of 112 Peters St., Byesville, stole a Ford Mustang from the Selby General Hospital parking lot and drove to the Marietta Police Department to report that explosives were under a bridge on Ohio 26. Bridges were checked with negative results. Gonzales was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle. She was evaluated at Marietta Memorial Hospital and taken to jail upon her release.

¯ An officer was dispatched to Walmart, 804 Pike St., on Friday to investigate a shoplifting that occurred on Aug. 14.

¯ Walmart, 804 Pike St., reported two shoplifters on Sunday. Lindsey Proebstle, of Mount Laurel, N.J. and Kira Witty were both charged with theft.

¯ Sherry L. Dodd, of 113 Muskingum Drive, reported Sunday that there was an unruly juvenile at the home who has not made it home by the arranged time and did this often. The juvenile was charged with being unruly and will be summoned into juvenile court.

¯ During a traffic stop Sunday in the 100 block of Fort Harmar Drive, a K9 unit indicated the presence of drugs. During a search, paranphernalia was located. Passenger Ruben R. Quiroz Jr., of 1745 Bald Eagle Road, Stockport, also admitted to having a small amount of methamphetamine. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possesion of drug paranphernalia.

¯ Walmart, 804 Pike St., reported a shoplifter on Monday. Tammy Lynn Whipkey, of Harris RV Park, Lot 18, Newport, was arrested for theft.

Reports/Washington County

¯ Robert J. Perry, of 3010 Cats Creek Road, Lowell, reported Thursday that items were removed from his vehicle. This case remains under investigation.

¯ Michael A. Siders, of 124 Tennis Center Drive, Apt. 2C, Marietta, reported Friday that his 1997 Chevy Blazer was removed from the property. This case remains under investigation.

¯ Kenneth Taylor, of 57011 State Route 7, New Matamoras, and Lewis Taylor, of 50785 State Route 7, New Matamoras, reported Sunday that garages were entered and items to include a weed eater, toolbox and other items were removed. This case remains under investigation.

¯ On Sunday, Jessica Kincaid, of 9772 State Route 555, Cutler, arrived at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to report an assault which occurred earlier in the day. Kincaid said she and her boyfriend, Heath Warren, reside together. Warren has two children in common with Teleasha Kemp. Kincaid said Kemp arrived at the residence, entering through an unlocked door without permission and struck Kincaid in the left eye. After Kemp struck Kincaid she flipped the kitchen table and proceeded upstairs to get her children from the home. Warren instructed Kemp to leave the property and they have both told Kemp multiple times that she has to stop entering the residence. A witness that spoke with Kemp admitted to her that she did do this. A temporary protection order was requested by Kincaid. Kemp was placed under arrest for assault and aggravated burglary.

¯ Deputies were dispatched to 1060 Gravel Bank Road, Midway Machining, Marietta, on Monday in reference to an incident of domestic violence. Robert W. Proffitt said he was at this location to drop off some parts, as he is an employee of Midway Machining, and that he ended up in an argument with his soon-to-be ex-wife, Brooke Proffitt. He said Brooke struck him with her vehicle door as she was attempting to leave and then tried to run him over. Brooke said she attempted to leave and Robert tried to keep her there by sticking his leg in the driver side door of her vehicle. Eventually, Robert grabbed her and ripped her from the vehicle and threw her to the ground. Brooke states she got up and attempted to leave again and Robert again threw her to the ground, causing several scrapes to her body. All of Brooke’s accounts of this incident were corroborated by video surveillance footage from the business. Robert William Proffitt, 35, of 3835 State Route 555, Little Hocking, was placed under arrest for domestic violence. The victim also requested a temporary protection order be issued against him.

¯ Lisa L. Runnion, of 307 Maple St., Marietta, for failure to appear. Original charge was robbery.

¯ James C. Parmiter, of 32 Orel Ave., Columbus, for failure to appear. Original charge was tampering with evidence.

¯ Mark A. Valentine, homeless, for probation violation. Original charge was domestic violence.

¯ Christopher M. Hoce, of 1312 39th St., Parkersburg, for probation violation. Original charge was OVI.

¯ Jerry A. Mitchell, of 910 Hunt Ave., Charleston, W.Va., for probation violation. Original charge was OVI.

¯ Corissa Angelina Gonzales, 28, of 112 Peters St., Byesville, was arrested Friday for auto theft, a felony and inducing panic, a misdemeanor.

¯ Derek Skylar Steward, 30, of 188 Third St., Lowell, was arrested Friday for a probation violation, a misdemeanor.

¯ Christopher Lee Baughman, 25, of 174 Oil Springs Road, Petroleum, W.Va., was arrested Friday for failure to comply order/signal, a felony.

¯ Larry Allen Spence, 48, of 6254 Chestnut Ridge Drive, Wooster, was arrested Friday on warrants for OVI, drug instruments possession, driving under suspension and disorderly conduct, all misdemeanors.

¯ Brian Keith Edgar, 31, of 445 Goss Fork Road, Whipple, was arrested Saturday on warrants for breach of recognizance and unauthorized use of motor vehicle, both felonies, endangering children, drug instruments possession and drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.

¯ Glenna May Brooker, 37, of 3200 County Road 9, Reno, was arrested Saturday on a warrant for FRA suspension, a misdemeanor.

¯ Kevin Cole Siegfried, 37, of 807 Gilman St., Marietta, was arrested Saturday for OVI, driving under suspension and row public highway, all misdemeanors.

¯ Lindsey Maureen Proebstle, 19, of 147 Saddle Lane, Waverly, W.Va.,was arrested Sunday for theft, a misdemeanor.

¯ Kira Jean Witty, 18, of 147 Saddle Lane, Waverly, W.Va., was arrested Sunday for theft, a misdemeanor.

¯ Ruben Ronald Quiroz, 25, of 1745 Bald Eagle, Stockport, was arrested Monday for drug possession, a felony and drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

¯ Teleasha Nicole Kemp, 23, of 73 Cherry St., Vincent, was arrested Monday for aggravated burglary, a felony and assault, a misdemeanor.

¯ Frederick Gale McKitrick, 35, of 1251 County Road 9, Marietta, was arrested Monday for domestic violence, two counts, felonies, and driving under suspension, a misdemeanor.

¯ Linda Marie Hall, 25, of 802 Front St., Marietta, was arrested Monday for probation violation, a misdemeanor.

¯ Robert William Proffitt, 35, of 3835 State Route 555, Little Hocking, was arrested Monday for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

¯ Christina Marie Hower, 33, of 736 Utica Ave., Akron, was arrested Monday for probation violation, a misdemeanor.

¯ Clarence Alvin Wriston III, 43, of 128965 State Route 676, Waterford, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for driving under suspension and contempt of court order, misdemeanors.

¯ James Richard Thompson, 36, of 141 Braile Ave., Columbus, was arrested Tuesday for parole violation, a felony.

¯ Kenneth Nathan Crislip, 29, of 104 Plum St., Marietta, was arrested Tuesday for probation violation, a misdemeanor.
