Woman pleads guilty to forgery

Ashley N. Stout, 32, of 337 Heatherbridge Lane, Blacklick, pleaded guilty to forgery, a third-degree felony, Monday in Judge Randall Burnworth’s court.

Stout allegedly wrote checks to herself out of the checkbook of client David Ashcraft, 74, of Marietta, between November 2015 and October 2016 for a total of $21,700 while working as a day aide with Comfort Keepers. Comfort Keepers had a bonding company which paid Ashcraft back. Stout is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 10 at 8:15 a.m. in Judge Burnworth’s courtroom.
