Pet parade Feb. 25 at Peoples Bank Theatre
Pet lovers throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley of all ages are invited to enter their pets in the upcoming Super Stupendous Pet Tricks and Perfectly Precious Pet Parade at the Peoples Bank Theatre at 3 p.m. Feb. 25. Pets of all sorts except reptiles can be dressed up or have their cages decorated to participate in the parade part of the show. The pet owners are encouraged to wear matching outfits or decorations.
For those pet owners who have a pet with a particular talent or skill, try-out auditions are set for noon to 3 p.m. Jan. 20 at the Ely Chapman Education Foundation, 403 Scammel St., Marietta. Pet owners must call to schedule an appointment to audition. There is no charge to audition. Pets selected will perform on the Peoples Bank Theatre stage and compete for cash prizes. For those who want to participate in the parade, simply register and show up. Medals will be awarded for the funniest, the most handsome/prettiest and other such categories. Fair housing program at O’Neill Center
The O’Neill Center will host a Fair Housing of Ohio Presentation at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 22. The presentation by Disability Rights Ohio will include information on protections under the Fair Housing Act for people with disabilities and unlawful discrimination (including a failure to accommodate one’s disabilities, like allowing a service animal or emotional support animal, or an accessible parking space, or physical modifications to one’s apartment) and how to handle such issues with one’s landlord or housing provider. The presentation will also cover Disability Rights Ohio and the work they do and how one can contact them for advice and assistance. Registration may be completed by calling 740-373-3914.

Warren Township Board of Trustees will meet at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays each month at the Township Administration Office, 95 Coffman Road, Marietta. program in Belpre
Through a sponsorship from AEP Ohio, the Southeast Ohio Foodbank, a program of Hocking Athens Perry Community Action, will be hosting a mobile pantry distribution at the Church of Christ Belpre, 2932 Washington Blvd. Belpre, from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday.
Food items will be given away to income eligible families who are at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, and are residents of Washington County. There will be a baked steak dinner beginning at 5 p.m. Jan. 27 at the American Legion Post 64, Eighth and Wooster streets, to benefit Relay for Life. Dinner includes baked steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, roll and desert. The cost is $8 a plate or two for $15. The dinner is open to the public.
