Barlow community luncheon Feb. 7
A community luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 7 at Barlow Presbyterian Church at Ohio 550 and Warrior Drive. The menu is meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, baked corn, rolls and desserts.
Program at K of C hall
The AARP Tax-Aide Program will once again be offering free tax return preparation for all low and moderate income taxpayers on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., from Feb. 1 to April 12, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, located at 312 Franklin St. in Harmar. Taxpayers should bring all W-2s, 1099s, 1098s, picture ID and Social Security cards (or other official proof of numbers) for all family members, and a copy of last year’s return, if available. Anyone itemizing deductions should bring all receipts or canceled checks.
Teen Chocolate Party dance Feb. 2
The Right Path for Washington County will present a free Teen Chocolate Party Dance from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 2 at the Betsey Mills Club, Fourth and Putnam streets. There will be free admission and free pizza, with other concessions available. Premier Productions will be the DJ and there will be free swimming. The event is for sixth through 12th graders .

Evergreen Series: ‘Beauty & the Beast’
The Evergreen Arts & Humanities Series at Washington State Community College in collaboration with the Washington State Foundation and the Schwendeman Agency, Inc. announce a free showing of Disney’s 2017 live-action musical “Beauty & the Beast.” This event is sponsored by Dr. Frieda Owen.
The film will be shown at 7 p.m. Feb. 3 in Graham Auditorium at WSCC, located at 710 Colegate Drive, Marietta, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free, but seating is limited.
Liberty Twp. financial report completed
The Liberty Township annual financial report for 2017 has been completed and filed with the Ohio State Auditor, and is available for public inspection. Anyone wishing to review or obtain a copy may contact the fiscal officer, Emily Griffin for an appointment at 740-213-2091.
