Belpre BOE appoints Mike Miller

BELPRE — The Belpre Board of Education has named Mike Miller as its newest member.

Miller was appointed Monday to fill the vacancy left by former board member Bob Wallace, who did not run for re-election in November.

Miller was one of three candidates who applied for the open seat. Miller was sworn in Monday during a statutory meeting of the board.

The regular meeting Monday was abbreviated due to concerns over snow and icy roads.

During the statutory meeting Monday, Brenda Church was elected as board president and Cathy O’Donnell was named vice president of the board.
