Bridal show season arrives in the Valley

The annual Marietta Bridal Show will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Marietta College’s Dyson Baudo Recreation Center.
Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. and doors open at 1 p.m. A Parade of Fashion will be held at 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. during the bridal show.
Admission is $5 per person.
The ticket includes access to all vendor exhibits, food and beverage samples provided by all caterers and cake bakers, entertainment from DJs, live musicians and ballroom dance experts and special contests.
There will also be door prize drawings each hour at 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. and a grand prize drawing after the 4 p.m. fashion parade.
The event offers a chance to meet with some of the top wedding professionals in the Mid-Ohio-Valley. including wedding accessories, beauty supplies, jewelry, musicians, wedding registry, bridal and tuxedo fashions, day spa, cakes and confectionaries, personal wedding websites, photographers, videographers, photo booths, disc jockeys, bands, ceremonial sound rental, reception and wedding sites, sternwheelers, rental and event companies, gifts and favors, florists, wedding planners, formal wear, health And wellness, transportation, travel agencies, caterers, wedding coordinators and more.
Later this month, the 2018 Great Bridal Event will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Jan. 28 at Elite Sports Center in south Parkersburg.
Organized by Crown Event Rentals, the bridal show will feature more than 90 vendors, a style show from Elizabeth Michaels/Hornor & Harrison/Premier Productions at 4 p.m., food and cake samplings, giveaways and other attractions.
Admission is $5 per person with all bride- and groom-to-bes admitted free.
