Man sent to jail for drug possession

Bradley Lightfritz, 38, of 304 Bellevue St., Marietta, was sentenced in Washington County Common Pleas Court Wednesday to 30 days in the Washington County Jail and one year of community control.

Lightfritz had previously pleaded guilty to possession of controlled substances, a fifth-degree felony, after trace residue of methamphetamine in a pill grinder was found in his possession during a traffic stop by the Ohio State Highway Patrol at Seventh and Greene streets in Marietta on July 2.

Lightfritz could have been sentenced to up to one year in jail.
