¯ Dennis A. Huck, of Ohio 83, Beverly, reported a carburetor missing from a Chevrolet truck on Tuesday. This case remains under investigation.
¯ A deputy filed charges Tuesday requesting a warrant for the arrest of Matthew Colby Cook, 27, of 251 Summers Addition, Milton, W.Va., on a charge of theft. On Dec. 29 a verbal altercation was observed between inmates Justin Schroeder and Cook over Cook stealing Schroeder’s commissary food items while he was out to court earlier that day. Cook was interviewed and advised that he had three days to reimburse Schroeder for the stolen items in the amount of $48.67 or he would be charged with theft.
¯ On Wednesday, a deputy began an investigation into a resident being scammed out of approximately $150. This case remains under investigation.
¯ On Wednesday, a deputy, along with the Little Hocking Volunteer Fire Department Squad responded to 2280 Veto Road, Vincent, to a report of an intoxicated male who fell and possibly hurt himself. Renee Hennes said her husband, Jackson Hennes, was extremely intoxicated and left the residence and began walking through the woods before falling and hurting himself. Jackson told the deputy just to leave him there and to leave his property. Once the fire department arrived on scene Jackson continued his verbal resistance and began kicking paramedics. The deputy assisted in an attempt to get Jackson to his feet in which he began kicking and punching him multiple times in the legs and arms. Jackson was able to be subdued and placed in handcuffs. He continued to be assaultive and kicked the bars covering the windows and the Plexiglas center divider. Jackson L. Hennes, 48, was transported to the Washington County Jail and is being charged with assault of a peace officer,and disorderly conduct by intoxication.

¯ Gregory Lee Frye, 36, of 4550 EJ Ross Lane, Stockport, was arrested Wednesday for FRA suspension, a misdemeanor.
¯ Nicole Marie Kurtz, 32, of 9645 State Route 821, Lower Salem, on a warrant for theft by deception, a felony. Kurtz turned herself in at the Washington County Jail and was processed on Wednesday.
¯ Courtney Taylor Smith, 26, of 388 Oak Grove Road, Williamstown, was arrested Wednesday for probation violation, a felony.
¯ Brian Dale Brown, 51, of 9645 State Route 821, Lower Salem, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for theft, a felony.
¯ Joseph Scott Antill, 40, of 709 Phillips St., Marietta, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for felonious assault, a felony.
¯ Jeramia Kemp Brandyberry, 29, of 280 Jett Hill Road, Marietta, was arrested Wednesday for probation violation, a felony.
¯ James Gregory Gray, 33, of 87 Robinson Junction, Waynesboro, Miss., on a warrant for failure to appear, a felony. Gray was picked up at Lauderdale County Jail and processed into the Washington County Jail on Wednesday.
¯ Jackson L. Hennes, 48, of 2280 Veto Road, Vincent, was arrested Thursday for one count of assault, a felony, one count of assault and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.
