Warren FFA makes blankets for EVE shelter among service projects
The Warren FFA Chapter has been doing a series of events to help those in the community. It started in October with the Annual Trick-Or-Treat for Cans. Members went door to door with flyers several weeks before Halloween to inform the community members about the event. On the Trick-or-Treat Night for each area FFA members then went to the area and picked up donations. We had many donations and they were given to the Western Washington and Cutler Food Pantries. The next event was a clothing drive hosted in the month of November for the High School Students. There were barrels for each grade to put the clothes in. The Junior class brought in the most clothes and won an ice cream party. Overall the FFA donated 1,500 pounds of clothes to the Western Washington and Cutler Food Pantries.
The last event was making tie blankets for EVE, the local women’s shelter. Students stayed after school for two days to make tie blankets.
The chapter has donated 16 blankets.
