Warren BOE to

meet Thursday

There will be a special meeting of the Warren Local Schools Board of Education at 6 p.m. Thursday.

The meeting will be held at the Warren Local Administration Office, 220 Sweetapple Road, Vincent, for the purpose of having a work session relating to the Ohio School Facilities construction project.

Marietta City Schools plans meetings

Marietta City Schools Board of Education has the following upcoming meetings:

¯ 10 a.m. Tuesday at board of education office. This is an orientation meeting and discussions will include academics and any other matter that may arise.

¯ 11 a.m. Thursday at the board of education office. This is an orientation meeting and discussions will include academics and any other matter that may arise.

¯ 6:30 p.m. Feb. 26 at the board office. This is the regular monthly meeting.

Campus Martius hosts Girls Night Out

A “Girls Night Out” sleepover will be held from 6 p.m. March 23 to 8 a.m. March 24 at Campus Martius Museum, 601 Second St., Marietta. The cost is $30 per girl and $10 per adult. An RSVP is required by March 2. There will be lots of fun activities for girls in grades 2-5. They do not have to be Girl Scouts to attend, however, activities that Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts can apply towards badges include: Playing the Past, Animal Habitats, Celebrating Community and Letterboxing.

The cost includes all activities, a Campus Martius Museum patch, pizza, snacks and beverages. Girls must have an adult chaperone accompany them: For example, for every 1 to 5 girls, one adult must attend the sleepover.

The thrift store of the Western Washington County Food Pantry at 18 High St., Vincent, will be having a $2 a bag sale from now until March 1. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and 1 to 4 p.m. Thursdays. Summer clothes will be ready on March 26.
