Friends of NRA banquet Feb. 24

The Mid-Ohio Valley Friends of National Rifle Association (NRA) Committee will host the 11th annual Friends of NRA banquet on Saturday, Feb. 24. The event begins at 5 p.m. at Knights of Columbus Hall in Churchtown. Everyone is welcome to attend, including those who are not members of the NRA.

Fifty percent of all funds generated at the banquet are earmarked for projects in Washington County and Ohio. Groups meeting guidelines and completing an NRA Foundation grant application can benefit from the banquet’s proceeds. Projects are funded in the areas of youth programs, shooting range development, firearm safety, hunter education and more.

Three types of tickets are available. A $40 dinner ticket entitles the holder to steak dinner and door prize drawing. The $125 raffle package ticket entitles the holder to dinner, door prize drawing and 40 raffle tickets ($160 value). The $1,000 table package includes eight dinners, eight door prize drawings, eight packets of 40 raffle tickets, and a table captain drawing for a Kimber Ultra Carry II 2-tone .45 ACP. The door prize drawing is for a Smith & Wesson M&P BG380 with CT Laser.

The evening includes raffles, games and a live auction where attendees have the chance to bid on official NRA and other merchandise. Over 50 rifles, pistols and shotguns are included in the merchandise.
