Dinner to benefit Gold Star Memorial effort
The Lafayette Hotel will be hosting and sponsoring a buffet spaghetti dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday to help the city, the Marine Corps League and the Hershel Woody Williams Foundation, who are partnering to generate funds and install a Gold Star Memorial at the newly renamed Gold Star Park on Harmar Hill, formerly Lookout Park. The monument will recognize area Gold Star families.
Cost of the dinner is $12 per person (cash only at the door). There will be a cash bar available. Tickets will be available at the door or presale tickets are available from any Marine Corps League 1436 Sgt. Bob O’Malley Detachment member.
Reno Water plans board meeting
Reno Water and Sewer District will be having its regularly scheduled board meeting at 6 p.m. March 20 in the Reno Water building at 170 Mount Tom Road, Marietta.
to meet for lunch
Washington County Republican Women will meet for lunch from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at Marietta First Baptist Church just inside the Fourth and Putnam streets entrances. Republican men are welcome to join as the group hears from the May Primary candidates.

Annual job fair
March 21 at WSCC
Washington State Community College, 710 Colegate Drive, Marietta, will host its fifth annual job fair on March 21. This free event will be held in the Commons area of the Main Building and will begin at 2 p.m. for WSCC students, alumni and veterans, then from 3 to 4 p.m. for the general public.

Cutler Center serves dinner March 18
Cutler Community Center will hold its next Third Sunday Dinner from noon to 3 p.m. March 18 at the Cutler Community Center, 4550 Two Mile Run Road. This month’s dinner is hosted by the Western Washington County Seniors. The meal will include soup and a sandwich, a drink and a homemade dessert. Meals are $7 for adults or $4 for children and all proceeds benefit the Cutler Community Center. There will also be live music.
The Barlow VFD will be having a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the firehouse on Warrior Drive in Barlow. There will be all-you-can-eat pancakes, Pine Ridge sausage, sausage gravy and biscuits and drinks.
