Norwegian performer at O’Neill Center

Unni Booksasp will perform at the O’Neill Center at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Over the years, Unni has delved into the deep traditions found across her homeland of Norway, studying music and dance with renowned singers and folk arts departments in Norway and beyond. This is a free performance brought to the O’Neill Center by the Ohio Arts Council.

FHS Honor Society hosts square dance

The Frontier High School National Honor Society will be hosting a square dance featuring the Buckeye Travelers from 8 to 11 p.m. May 5 in the high school cafetorium. Admission is $5 per person or $8 per couple. Concessions will be available.

Marietta BOE to

meet Monday night

The Marietta City Schools Board of Education’s next regular meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Marietta High School, 111 Academy Drive.

Cadets for a Cause hosts steak dinner

Fort Frye’s Cadets For A Cause will be hosting a baked steak dinner from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday. There will be a country store and a showing of “Beauty and The Beast” in the auditorium starting at 6 p.m. Cost of the dinner is $9 for adults and $6 for children. Admission to the movie is by donation. All proceeds go to the Fort Frye High School air conditioning fund.

Plant, bake sale

April 28 in Oak Grove

Oak Grove Recreation Center, 535 BF Goodrich Road, will host a plant and bake sale from 8 a.m. to noon April 28. There will be flowers, vegetables, hanging baskets and baked goods.

Kiwanis sponsors spaghetti dinner

The Williamstown Area Kiwanis will be sponsoring a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the American Legion in Williamstown. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children age 10 and under. Proceeds go to support WHS Key Club, WHS Builders’ Club, WES K-Kids’ Club and the Jim Hostottle Scholarship Fund.
