HarborSite Baptist Church VBS

Camp Moose on the Loose Vacation Bible School will be held at HarborSite Baptist Church next Monday through Wednesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. each evening. Children from ages 4 through sixth-graders will participate in lessons, crafts, snacks and games around the camping theme. Every child who attends on Monday night will make their own tie dyed camping shirt. The church meets at the Veritas Academy building on Harmar Hill.

Little Muskingum VFD to hold social

The Little Muskingum Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual ice cream social on Saturday at the former Lawrence Elementary School in Dart. Serving starts at 4 p.m. The menu includes fish and sausage sandwiches, hot dogs, sloppy joes, potato salad, coleslaw, ice cream and pie. There will be games for children, hayrides and music.

Wolf Creek board

to meet June 25

The Wolf Creek Local Schools Board of Education regular meeting has been moved to 7:30 p.m. June 25 in the high school library.

Genealogical Society will meet Saturday

The Washington County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday in the lower level meeting room of the Washington County Public Library, 615 Fifth St., Marietta. The speaker will be Deb Root Shell, who will be speaking about the Civil War Honor Roll.

Visitors are always welcome. Free parking is available. The facility is handicapped accessible.

Children’s Choir does Music in the Park

The Marietta Children’s Choir will perform at 7 p.m. today as part of the Marietta Music in the Park Series sponsored by the Marietta Welfare League. This free concert will be held at Muskingum Park, 310 Front St. in Marietta.

The Marietta Children’s Choir (MCC), under the direction of Danielle Taylor, serves Mid-Ohio Valley youth in fourth through eighth grades. The program provides students with the opportunity to pursue musical excellence in a creative and nurturing environment. Rehearsals are held once a week from September through May at Marietta College’s Hermann Fine Arts Center.
