¯ On Friday, a deputy and the Warren Volunteer Fire Department responded to Energizer Everready Battery, 2036 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, to a skid loader on fire.

¯ On Saturday, when a deputy approached a vehicle parked at the Hills Bridge, an odor of marijuana was detected. The driver advised that passenger Brandon L. Myers had just smoked a joint. Myers was asked to exit the vehicle and admitted to smoking the marijuana. Miscellaneous drugs and paraphernalia were confiscated and a summons is being requested for Myers, 24, of 2448 State Route 260, New Matamoras, for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

¯ On Saturday, a deputy stopped to check a vehicle near Ellifritz Road. The driver, Mitchell E. Williams, stated he was sitting there drinking for a little while. An open box of beer was observed and numerous containers were missing. There was also an open can in the console. A summons is being requested for Mitchell Eugene Williams, 35, of 2875 Leith Run Road, New Matamoras, for open container.

A deputy, along with the Dunham Township Volunteer Fire Department, was dispatched to 408 Cross Road, Belpre, on Saturday to a 2004 Trail Blazer on fire.

¯ A citation was issued to Bradley Gene Antill, of 104 Brentwood St., Marietta, on Saturday for fictitious registration.

¯ A deputy, along with the Devola, Fearing, Lowell-Adams, and Salem volunteer fire departments, responded to 1215 Whipple Eight Road, Whipple, on Saturday to the Matthew Erb residence on fire.

¯ A deputy responded to Decatur Township on Sunday to a possible domestic violence incident. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.

¯ A deputy responded to 255 Highland Ridge Road on Sunday for a domestic violence incident which occurred in Liberty Township on May 19. A deputy met with Alyssa Kidder in reference to the incident involving Devon A. Leasure, of 515 Scotts Ridge Road, Whipple. Deputies were unable to make contact with Leasure, 22. A warrant was requested through Marietta Municipal Court charging Leasure with domestic violence.

¯ A deputy responded to Salem Township on Sunday to a possible domestic violence incident. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.

¯ A deputy responded to 1169 Burnett Road, Fairfield Township, on Monday. A neighbor had reported Tina Powell, 45, of 1168 Burnet Road, Cutler, had threatened her. The deputy spoke with Powell and will be requesting a summons be issued for disorderly conduct against her.

¯ A deputy responded to Marietta Township on Monday to a possible domestic violence incident. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.

¯ On Monday, a deputy met with Sinda Dyer, of 27400 State Route 7, Reno, in reference to Larry C. Shaffer striking her. Shaffer was located by deputies and was placed under arrest for domestic violence.

Warrants/Washington County

¯ Katie M. Grayson, of 733 Eighth St., Marietta, for failure to confine or restrain a dog.

¯ Matthew J. Trezza, of 150 Camelot Road, #31, Belpre, for disorderly conduct – fighting or threatening.

¯ Brian D. Bates, of 530 ¢ High St., Macksburg, for probation violation. Original charge domestic violence.

¯ Fredrick G. McKitrick, of 125 County Road 9, #3, Marietta, for failure to appear. Original charges were domestic violence, theft, obstructing official business and criminal trespass.

Arrests/Washington County

The following people were recently processed into the Washington County Jail:

¯ Brent Allen Smith, 29, of 535 E. Yanonali St., Santa Barbara, Calif., was arrested for assault, a misdemeanor.

¯ Angela Sue Nutter, 39, of 4357 Laurel Creek Road, Waverly, W.Va., was arrested on a warrant for probation violation, a felony.

¯ Troy Allen Johnson, 22, of Whipple, was arrested on a warrant for breaking and entering, a felony.

¯ Joseph Vernon Turpin, 19, of 2035 Cedar Run Road, Friendly, W.Va., was arrested on a warrant for no operator’s license, a misdemeanor.

¯ Orion Scott Harris, 24, homeless, was arrested for criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.
