¯ Terry E. Williamson, of Whitley City, Ky. reported June 5 that his trailer was stolen in Whitley City via a bad check. The trailer was located at 101 W. Montgomery St. An officer went to the site with Williamson, who claimed his property and will follow up with the McCreary County Sheriff’s Office in Kentucky.

¯ An officer was dispatched to 741 ¢ Greene St. on June 5 for a report of someone sleeping in an abandoned house that had recently caught fire due to squatters. The intruder, Christopher Sciance, was arrested. He said he was homeless and just looking for a place to sleep.

¯ An investigation began June 5 into a sex crime against a child. The investigation was forwarded to Washington County Children Services.

¯ William M. Cox, of 246 Pennsylvania Ave., reported a cell phone stolen on June 5. He said the phone was lost somewhere around the Lafayette Plaza on June 4 and someone had been using it since.

¯ On June 5, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle operated by Brandon Marshall, of 636 Ninth St., for a cell phone violation. Marshall failed to stop and after a short pursuit, struck another vehicle and fled on foot near the 600 block of Seventh Street. He later turned himself in.

¯ Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Gilman Avenue on June 6 in reference to a Marietta Fire Department squad needing assistance with a combative subject.

¯ Officers responded to Speedway, 433 Second St., on June 7 in reference to an employee finding drug paraphernalia on the premises.

¯ James C. Mitchell, of 313 Ohio St., reported June 7 that his bicycle had been stolen from the Lafayette Hotel while he was at work. Video footage has been obtained and warrants will be requested for both the suspect and an accomplice lookout.

¯ An officer was dispatched to 132 Dawes Circle on Friday in reference to a deceased 80-year-old woman. No foul play is suspected.

¯ Ross F. Cline, of 109 Nelson Ave., reported Friday that the license plate for his motorcycle had been taken. This case remains under investigation.

¯GoMart reported a shoplifter on Friday who took three candy bars. Tyler Goodwin, of 113 Mitchells Lane, was arrested for theft as well as for resisting arrest, possession of methamphetamine and escape after trying to flee from the police headquarters parking area while handcuffed. He was re-captured.

¯ An employee of Red Roof Inn, 702 Pike St., reported Friday that a TV had been stolen from a room.

¯ On Friday, an officer investigated a report of a possible sex crime involving a 14-year-old girl and 21-year-old male. The officer learned the male is actually 17 and the girl’s mother was aware they are dating.

¯ Walmart, 804 Pike St., reported theft by an employee on Friday. A loss prevention officer said employee Sharae Dunham, of 1402 Barth Road, Belpre, had been taking the receipt transaction code from customers and redeeming their benefits and putting the money on her savings catcher. The total amount was $149.29. Dunham was arrested for theft.

¯ Jeffrey R. Myers, of 1635 McGill Road, Belpre, reported an assault Friday at 709 ¢ Front St. A juvenile male will be charged with assault.

¯ Triple D Construction reported a possible breaking and entering to a maintenance trailer at 401 Matthews St. on Saturday.

¯ Walmart reported a shoplifter on Saturday. Diane Rhodes, of 938 Braun Road, Belpre, was charged with theft.

¯An officer responded to a truck fire at Walmart on Sunday. Another car also sustained some minor damage.

Reports/Washington County

¯ A deputy responded to Warren Township on June 6 for a possible domestic incident. After speaking with all individuals, the deputy will be filing delinquent charges on a juvenile though Washington County Juvenile Court.

¯ A deputy began an investigation on June 6 regarding a resident being advised by a computer support company that they were a “lifetime” customer for computer services. The subjects requested funds through Walmart be forwarded to them. This is not legitimate and this investigation in continuing.

¯ A deputy responded to Marietta Township on June 7 for a possible domestic incident. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.

¯ The dog warden received a complaint Friday of Amanda Gilbert’s two black lab mixed breed dogs running loose from her residence in Little Hocking. Contact with made with Gilbert, who admitted the dogs run loose. She was advised to keep the dogs restrained. The dog warden requested a summons be issued to Gilbert, 37, of 504 Schoolhouse Road, Little Hocking, for failing to restrain her dog.

¯ During a traffic stop Friday on Ohio 60, a deputy smelled an alcoholic beverage on the driver, Sierra Long. Alcoholic beverages were found in a search of the vehicle. All occupants were under the age of 21 and submitted to testing. Sierra Dallas Long, 19, of 391 Echo Valley Road, Waterford, and Cylus Boyd Reynolds, 19, of 2357 Plum Run Road, Waterford, were placed under arrest for underage consumption and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

¯ On Sunday, a dog belonging to Steven Pinkerman, 49, of 3011 Barth Road, Belpre, ran loose from the residence and went onto a neighbor’s property. An attempt was made to contact Pinkerman, with no success. The dog warden requested a summon be issued to Pinkerman for failing to restrain his dog.

¯ On Monday, the dog warden conducted follow-up checks through the Washington County Auditor’s Office and found that Ashley Roark had not registered her dog for 2018. The dog warden requested a summons be issued to Ashley Roark, 29, of 17485 State Route 555, Cutler, for failing to register her dog.

¯A deputy began an investigation Saturday in reference to a subject being scammed out of $35,300 when a vehicle was purchased through an online auction website. This case remains under investigation.

¯ A deputy took a report of a stolen license plate off of a vehicle in Belpre Township on Saturday. This case remains under investigation.

¯ On Sunday, a deputy was dispatched to 7720 Dalzell Road, Whipple, to meet with Renee Enochs. Enochs reported that Christopher Peyton had threatened to burn down the residence of Zachary Ash and shoot whoever exited the residence during the fire. Peyton lives at the residence with Ash and has made other threats toward the residents. Attempts to locate Peyton were unsuccessful. The deputy was later dispatched to the residence again. It was reported that Peyton was parked across the street, stating he was going to take care of business, making more threats. Witnesses stated Peyton made further threats to people at the residence and a neighboring residence. Peyton had also been sending threatening text messages to the victims. Further attempts to contact Peyton in Washington and Monroe Counties met with negative results. A warrant is being requested through Marietta Municipal Court for aggravated menacing, menacing and assault.

¯ On Sunday, a deputy observed a 2006 Chevy pickup parked on the road at East Branch Road, still running. The driver, Dominick R. Oliver, said all occupants had been drinking and submitted to portable breath tests. Abby Lynn Childress, 20, of 31888 Hartshorn, Lewisville, was placed under arrest for underage consumption of alcohol. Dominick Ryan Oliver, 21, of 31888 Hartshorn Ridge Road, Lewisville, was placed under arrest for OVI. Both were transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

¯ Donald L. Plaugher, of 95 Silver Globe Road, Marietta, reported a license plate missing from a pull-behind trailer at Barth Road on Sunday. This case remains under investigation.

¯On Monday, a deputy became aware of an active warrant out of Michigan for David Dewayne Kinnan, 44, of 1125 Brownsville Road, New Matamoras. Kinnan became aware of the active warrant and attempted to flee. Kinnan was taken into custody and charged with being a fugitive from justice and obstructing official business.

¯ On June 7, a deputy responded to Par Mar, 4796 State Route, Marietta, to meet with personnel who had become aware of an empty 5-Hour Energy bottle next to the register. A review of the video showed Chris Fouss place items on the counter, including two bottles of 5-Hour Energy. Fouss was seen on the video consuming one 5-Hour Energy drink. A summons is being requested for Christopher T. Fouss, 55, of 11 Townhall Road, Marietta, for theft.

¯ A deputy responded to Fearing Township on Tuesday for a possible domestic violence incident. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.

¯ Matthew Colby Cook, 27, of 251 Summer Addition, Milton, W.Va., was arrested for probation violation, a misdemeanor.

¯ Iesha Rachelle McFadden, 22, of 411 East Spring St., Marietta, was arrested for drug paraphernalia, possessing drug abuse instruments and failure to appear, all misdemeanors.

¯ Sierra Dallas Long, 19, of 391 Echo Valley Road, Waterford, was arrested for consumption of alcohol under age 21, a misdemeanor.

¯ Cylus Boyd Reynolds, 19, of 2357 Plum Run Road, Waterford, was arrested for consumption of alcohol under age 21, a misdemeanor.

¯ Tyler Edward Goodwin, 20, of 113 Mitchells Lane, Marietta, was arrested for possession of drugs and escape, both felonies, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, possessing drug abuse instruments, theft, and two counts of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.

¯ Tricia Ann Martin, 33, of Ninth Street, Vienna, W.Va., was arrested for possession of drugs, a felony, possessing drug abuse instruments and obstructing official business, both misdemeanors.

¯ Delbert Daniel Cain, 42, of 100 Simpson St., Marietta, was arrested for probation violation, a misdemeanor.

¯ Sherry Elaine Stone, 53, of 1001 Greene St., Apt. B, Marietta, was arrested for breach of recognizance, theft and possessing drug abuse instruments, all misdemeanors.

¯ Abby Lynn Childress, 20, of 31888 Hartshorn Ridge Road, Lewisville, was arrested for consumption of alcohol under the age 21, a misdemeanor.

¯ Dominick Ryan Oliver, 21, of 31888 Hartshorn Ridge Road, Lewisville, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor.

¯ Holly Nicole Willis, 33, of 4703 National Road, Tridelphia, W.Va., was arrested for improper lane usage and driving while under the influence of alcohol, both misdemeanors.

¯ Danielle Nicole Malloy, 25, homeless, was arrested for no operator’s license and traffic signals, both misdemeanors.

¯ Harry Matthew Minthorne, 29, of 14363 E. Scatter Ridge Road, Athens, was arrested for two counts of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.

¯ Heather Dawn Thompson, 29, of 116 Harmar St., Marietta, was arrested for probation violation, a felony.

¯ Keith Tyler Whealdon, 25, of 1044 Emerson Ave., Apt. B, Parkersburg, was arrested for two counts of probation violation, two counts of driving under suspension and two counts of contempt of court, misdemeanors.

¯ Jennifer Marie Sturm, 37, homeless, was arrested for theft, a misdemeanor.

¯ Marcus Gregory Boothby, 23, of 144 Washington St., Waterford, was arrested for breach of recognizance, domestic violence, two counts of possessing drug abuse instruments, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under OVI suspension, and speeding, misdemeanors.

¯ John Michael Dotson, 39, of 22750 Waibel Farm Road, Coolville, was arrested for contempt, a misdemeanor.

¯ Brandon Michael Hall, 33, of 709 Thomas Court, Belpre, was arrested for sex offender – failure to notify change of address, a felony, driving under suspension, contempt of court, disobeying traffic control device, misdemeanors.

¯ Heather Sierra Simms, 24, of 1725 20th Ave., Parkersburg, was arrested for contempt of court, a felony.

¯ Christopher Allen Peyton, 28, of 720 Dalzell Road, Whipple, was arrested for probation violation, misdemeanor.

¯ Diamond Dee Keaton, 23, of Alliance Shelter, Alliance, was arrested for possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor.

¯ David Dewayne Kinnan, 44, of 1125 Brownsville Road, New Matamoras, was arrested for obstructing official business, a felony, and fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor.
