¯ On Friday, Miranda Marie Casteel, 31, of 24761 Brimstone Road, Coolville, was brought to the Washington County Jail on a warrant. Casteel was asked by jail personnel if she had anything illegal in her possession, with her replying she did not. During processing Casteel removed her bra and a small clear cellophane bag with a piece of an orange pill was found to be concealed in her bra. Casteel stated she did not know that she had the pill and that it was Suboxone. Casteel was charged with illegal conveyance of drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility or institution.
¯ A deputy responded to 401 Keeler Drive, Marietta, on Saturday regarding two separate 911 calls about a noise complaint at this residence. Marvin Kelley III was found in a truck parked in the driveway. Kelley admitted to playing the music loud, revving his truck motor and doing “burn outs” in his driveway. A summons is being requested through Marietta Municipal Court for Marvin Lee Kelley III, 25, for disorderly conduct.
¯ A deputy observed a vehicle Saturday at a business on Ohio 60 with the emergency hazard lights on. A check found a male asleep in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. The male, Eric Barnes, woke and said he just did not want to drink and drive. An odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected on/or about Barnes’ person. Barnes’ eyes were glassy and his speech was slurred. Barnes was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he refused. Eric Todd Barnes, 37, of 255 Anderson Road, Davisville, W.Va., was placed under arrest for physical control of a motor vehicle and transported to the Washington County Jail. Barnes submitted to a BAC test and tested .168 percent.
¯ On Saturday, Andrew J. Strock, of 705 46th St., Vienna, was cited for no operator’s license.
¯ Deputies responded to 90 Barrett South Road, Vincent, on Sunday for a report made of James Andrews being involved in a domestic altercation with Sarah Morris, of Belpre. Deputies were advised that Andrews had locked himself and Morris in an upstairs bedroom while arguing, and witnesses were able to hear Andrews striking Morris. Andrews was on the porch upon deputies arriving. Andrews walked off the porch with his hands in the air, however refused to cooperate with the commands. Deputies told Andrews several times to put his hands behind his back, however, he still refused to comply with the commands. Deputies attempted to place Andrews in handcuffs while he was actively resisting. Andrews was eventually able to be handcuffed and taken into custody. Morris advised deputies that Andrews had pushed her against a wall, and had slapped her in the face multiple times. James Ryan Andrews, 33, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest.
¯ A deputy responded to Grandview Township on Sunday for a possible domestic violence incident. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.
¯ Deputies responded to 1308 Williamson Ave., Apt. 5D, New Matamoras, on Monday for a possible domestic altercation. Christine Griffon stated she was trying to get Donald Kennedy to move out of her apartment since April. Griffon said she told Kennedy to leave that night, at which point he became upset and an argument ensued with Kennedy making threats of physical harm to her. Kennedy barricaded the front door to Apt. 5D, however deputies were able to make contact with Kennedy. Based on Griffon’s statements Donald Ray Kennedy, Jr., 24, was placed under arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

¯ Andrew Lee McCarty, 30, of 125 Hickory St., Lower Salem, was arrested for possessing drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanor.
¯ Aaron Michael Carpenter, 25, of 111 Jefferson St., Dexter City, was arrested for failure to appear, a misdemeanor.
¯ Joshua Michael Conger, 39, of 1253 Gihon Road, Parkersburg, was arrested for possession of drugs and parole violation, felonies.
¯ Rachel Laverne Frye, 34, of 636 Phillips St., Marietta, was arrested for probation violation, a misdemeanor.
¯ Matthew Thomas Lutzen, 39, of 740 State Route 821, Whipple, was arrested for probation violation, misdemeanor.
¯ Zachary Barnett, 31, of 865 Dodd Run, Marietta, was arrested for probation violation, a misdemeanor, and trafficking in drugs, a felony.
¯ Dale Robert McDaniels II, 25, homeless, was arrested for theft, a misdemeanor.
¯ Zachary Marshall Mounts, 35, of 100 High Street Ave., Waterford, was arrested for burglary and tampering with evidence, felonies.
